Where is the air filter located? It looks like it is behind the headlights. '06 Cobalt

I just bought a 06 cobalt ss sc. I want to locate the air filter possibly change and cold air intake but everything on this car is different then I know. So two questions? Where is the air filter? And any ideas on a good cold air intake for the cobalt .

I know Dejon makes a CAI for the car but I have no idea how effective it might be. Sometimes stock air boxes are pretty well engineered and all the muss and fuss of a CAI, without further mods, might not be worth the cost in terms of meager HP gains. (if any). But on some cars, a good CAI does show results on the dyno. The dyno slips are the real evidence of anybody's claims
