So now he came back with this:

36 month lease with 15000 miles per year
using the rebates of 1750.00 + 2000.00 due at signing
rate of 1.25 on approval of credit your payment would be $346.28 for the Titanium front wheel drive Escape
    Residual would be $18038.55

    thoughts? Guidance?

You've gotten the base MF, which is good.

What is the breakdown of the $2000 due at signing? Any of that going to cap cost reduction?

    Dealer provided the breakdown for Escape Titanium, FWD, 15k lease miles;

    Cap cost(selling price) 30,702
    36 mo. lease
    1.25 MF
    acquisition cost 645
    rebate 1750
cash at signing 2,000 (down payment)
    license fess 1 year 328
sales tax 1283 (based on diff between cap cost and residual)
    doc fee 80
    residual 18,038
    payment with tax 346.28

Thoughts? I've always been so payment focused, but understand there is more too it than that.

Also, should you just go for the 12k miles lease and then pay the overage at end.

    thanks for your help.

    Hi All,
I’m looking to lease a car for the first time, I never owned a car.
I spend the last month or so, researching and learning the lease formulas.
There are few cars I’m looking at, and the 2015 Ford Escape SE AWD is one of them,
on average I see MSRP of ~$25,800 (I live in NYC) any idea of real price?
And monthly price I should pay for term 24/36 12K no down?
Also what is the MF and RV for both in NY?
    Thanks
    Adi

We don't recommend any sort of down payment on a lease; if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.

What is the MSRP and the net cap cost (after fees and taxes)?

It's cheaper to buy the miles up front (15K vs. 12K).

With your numbers, and using the 1.25% MF and 53% residual, I get a $0 down pre-tax payment of $377.11. The $2000 down would reduce your payment about $56/mo.

Hi. can you please post the Residuals and MF for SE 2.0 AWD and Titanium 2.0AWD?

Are there any incentives that should be kept in mind when discussing net cap cost on these leases this month?

    thanks!

Just got this quote from dealer in Cleveland area:
    '15 SE, FWD, EcoBoost 2.0
    MSRP $29,375
    A-Z Plan $26,829.12 (with 6.5% sales tax)
    Resid 52%
    MF .00083
    36/12k
Attempted to quote $349/mo with wear care (seriously?) And they said there was $1750 incentive, plus $500 lease loyalty and $500 A plan incentive.

Adjusted to 36/10,5K with no wear care= $293 with $566 up front (first mo $, plus doc fees)

When we decided to leave, they ran out the door and said they used the wrong doc fee and it would be $283.

    uggh...still looking

$283/mo (with tax?) for a car that stickers at over $29K is a pretty good lease deal. We don't have the residuals for Ford this month so can't confirm what the the dealer is telling you, but the .00083 MF is on the money.
