What's Your New Year's Automotive Resolution?

Every year I swear not to make certain mistakes, or resolve to correct certain existing issues around my automobiles.

Here's two of mine for 2015:

I resolve to never again start a repair project in my driveway at 4 PM on a chilly winter afternoon.

I resolve never to lend anyone borrow my truck unless I have previously disconnected the gas gauge so that it reads permanently "empty".

I resolve to never buy another boring car.


I resolve to never buy a pickup truck, but borrow one from my friend. I also resolve to always fill it up with gas, no matter the fuel level. (that cost me $45 the last time, and I only drove 5 miles)

I resolve to (finally) downsize from a minivan, at least for the two of us around town.

hm, maybe a Mazda5....
