There was a new rate sheet that came out on December 4th. Not sure what's changed, but your numbers are:

Quick question , On a golf r with DCC nav and manual ($37,700) I just got quoted $590/month for 36 months and 15,000/year with $3000 down seems high to me. What should the mf and residual be in December in Seattle?

What is the negotiated selling price? What is the full breakdown of the $3000 due at signing.

Is this for a 2015 or 2016 Golf R?

Ok, this is what they gave me: Selling price is: $35,735 plus Md. State (6%) Taxes and fees total $40,543.09 - rebate (conquest) of $1,500.00 = net cap $39,043.09 with 0 down and at 15,000 miles per yr. = $562.79 monthly payment w/ 1st payment due of that same figure $562.79 at time of the lease

MF is inflated. The only other negotiable is the selling price.

You have to ask the dealer what MF they are using. You can't reverse the MF from the other numbers.

They gave you MF, they are using .00235, they should be using .00188, BUT, money factor is tied to the interest rate so if you have bad credit, or no credit, they can charge you more.

Hey guys. I'm working on a 36/10 lease deal on a Golf R, and I just attached a screenshot of the deal disclosure I just received. It doesn't seem right and I'm hoping someone can help confirm. I negotiated 1000 off of the 37890 msrp and agreed to put down 1000 cash. That should make my cap cost 35890. With a MF of .00188 and residual of 69%, my monthly payment should be 381.47.

Looks like they are rolling fees into the cap cost and not including my cash reduction there. Is this normal? I also see "Fees and Insurance" appear twice; once in the "Amount Due at Signing" and again in the "Capitalized Cost Breakdown". What's that about?

Hoping someone can confirm my calculation of what should be a 381.47 monthly payment, and/or identify any other inflation going on in this deal disclosure. Thanks!

They are applying the $1000 to inception fees, not as cap cost reduction. And they are adding the acquisition fees to the cap cost as well. That accounts for the difference in payment.

Despite the high residual, Golf R's are still expensive to lease.

I can't answer that - you'd have to check with the dealer what those amounts represent.

Those are separate fees.

The $518 you are paying at inception is all of the fees totaled at the bottom of the right hand column, except for the $599 doc fee. You saw the $600 doc fee, right?

Then, the $625 acquisition fee and the $599 doc fee are added to your selling price, to give you the adjusted CAP cost of $38,138.

So, they are giving you a $1000 discount, but getting $599 of that back in the doc fee.

On the plus side, every other fee looks legit, and no markups to the money factor. You don't have any CAP reduction from the amount you are giving at signing, because it includes the first payment and the $5XX of fees.
