Buying last year (2014) new car, does my warranty start last year or this year?

It looks like there are a few 2014 new Honda Civic within a 250 mile radius. If I were to purchase one, would the warranty start in 2014 or the date of purchase?

I agree, with one caveat...

If the car was entered into a demo or loaner program, or if the dealer had to show the car as sold to collect a factory incentive, then it's possible that the warranty clock has already started..

You should verify the warranty expiration with the dealer and get it in writing.
