Hi, can somebody please help me with the prices for both acura mdx awd base and tec package. here is what I got so far from the dealers here in St paul/Minneapolis area. MDX-AWD-TEC $47,217 + TTL MDX-AWD-BASE $42,500 + TTL
Please let me know what would be best price to get these.
Can anyone advise on the pricing for the Acura extended warranty on an MDX Adv/Ent (2015)? What are you seeing for prices? I read a while back that there were several dealers selling them via internet at greatly reduced prices.
I am looking to a buy a 2015 CPO MDX AWD with technology package and about 12k miles in MD/DC area. What would be a good purchase price since it almost 2 years old? I see the prices on dealer sites around $42k. Can anybody share their negotiation and purchase experience for CPO models? TIA.
2016 FWD w/ Tech & AcuraWatch Plus for $44,300. Leased it for 36m/10k and got another $1000 lease cash and also applied a $2000 private offer certificate I got from Acura in the mail. Put $2000 down and walked away with a monthly lease payment of under $400. Bought from Norm Reeves Acura in Mission Viejo in Southern California. Negotiated price through emails and started by first getting quotes from Costco and TrueCar. Good luck!

I'd target invoice since your goal is to beat the TMV average. And it's the end of the model year and the 2017s are out (best check quotes on the 2017s too - may be some decent deals on them, although TMV is around $56,800, about $600 below MSRP).
bought a white brand new 2016 MDX FWD with Acurawatch and Tech. Also asked dealer to throw in remote start, wheel locks. Total preTTL= 43,800 and they gave me $750 rebate cash which was back from Acura for financing. So really the net purchase = $43800-750= 43,025. The thing is that they structured the deal such that the sales price = $43,800 (and hence I had to pay tax on the $750 rebate). and they applied the $750 as a 'down payment' from acura.
Bought a 2016 Acura MDX SH-AWD advance for $49,180 + TTL in Boston, Mass area. Could have done little better if we waited few more weeks but dealer had only two cars with the color combination we wanted so didn't take a chance. Car had 5 miles on it at the delivery and paid $281 for splash guards and wheel locks (little expensive )
I also had a $53,289 + TTL quote for 2017 model but 2 seat second row was the deal killer for us.

Can you please share dealer's name. Trying to replicate this deal locally. Thanks
Ah, see, that's what happens when you hang out at car sites like Edmunds and do your research - you wind up being the go-to person for all your friends.
Hi there. Looking for advice. The following 2016 used MDX is listed for $43,800. Good deal or should I push for lower price (obviously, I will, but want to know what kind of traction you all think I could get!). Thanks in advance. (ps: I really like this forum...so much good advice!).

@stever thanks for the info. That's incredibly useful!! My wife and I currently have a 2007 MDX with 108,000 miles on it. It's starting to cost more than I want to pay for maintenance things here and there. Trying to decide if it's worth it to go brand new (or leftover new for 2016) or find a nice 2014 or 2015 in the mid-$30K range. Any thoughts or words of wisdom? thanks again, kc
We like buying new and getting the latest and greatest. But we drive them forever and don't worry about depreciation or trade-in value (and we've good luck buying both new and used).
And...108k is nothing. You could rebuild the transmission for around 8 car payments (maybe you have, lol).
To further confuse the issue, you may be able to luck into a screaming deal on a 2017 over the Christmas/New Year's holiday.
Personally I would get some quotes on a 2017 and look closely at the savings between the brand new one and a used 2016 or a left-over new one. For around $3,000 in difference, I'd go brand new. For a $5,000 difference, the decision becomes harder.
@stever Great advice. I found another 2016. It has 20,000 miles on it. Tech package. Like-new condition. They want $39,990, but I'm working on getting that down a little. I've seen some screaming deals on new 2017s (a buddy got an offer for a 2017 with Tech for $46)...but if I can get the 2016 for $38,500, that $7,500 savings looks pretty good.
Looking for a decent deal on 2016 AWD Advance or 2017 AWD/Tech. Any december buyers? Also, with 1 week left in this year - what kind of incentives do I need to look for?

There's some financing incentives on the 2017s, no cash or lease deals that we show. (link)
Nothing showing for the 2016s, except military incentives.
Thank you @stever . I got some quotes and see the least is $45.5k. Yes other than 1.9% APR, no other incentives or rebates going on. Is it a good price? Also, how do you ask the dealer for free add-ons? thanks again..

The easy way to go is to build your MDX with the accessories you want on it, figure out what a good selling price is, add in the taxes and use that number as an out the door price. So you'd tell the dealer to quote you their best OTD price, and then you'd come back with a lower number and hopefully meet at your target OTD price. That way you avoid asking for something "free".
Is that $45.5k quote for a 2016 then? TMV for the AWD with Advance is $46,248. MSRP is $50,380. That $45.5k quote is about 9% below MSRP and below the TMV average so it looks good.
I'd still get a quote on the 2017 you were looking at to see what the difference is.

The quote of 45.5K is for 2017 AWD w/Tech. I haven't requested 2016 quotes (only got in Nov for 49.5K) When I had requested the 2017 AWD/tech quotes, I just contacted them thru email and asked their pricing , didnt specify about my accessories request. Is it too late to ask? will they add these at the negoatiation table if I were to haggle again...
I see many people saying free all weather mats, wheel locks, cargo tray for free..

The AWD one invoices for $54,160 with an MSRP of $58,170 and TMV of $53,611.
So the FWD would be a good price for NOVA and the AWD one would be a killer deal.
I only see one FWD in stock in our inventory listings and this isn't your first rodeo, so please don't keep me in suspense too long.
And didn't you just buy an Odyssey?
Good luck on the deal!

When I appraise it here, I get dealer retail of $41,435 using clean for the condition. Private party comes in at $39,456.
I personally don't like using "outstanding" condition but I'm sure the dealer thinks it's in "like new" shape. That number is $42,661.
I think I'd target the "outstanding" private party number of $40,600 and work my way up from there.
TMV on a "leftover" 2016 is $47,448 btw, assuming you could find one anywhere.
thanks again,
kc

Always remember that you are in complete control until you pay.
Once you pay, you're dirt.
