New to this
I am in CT and am thinking about a GLA has premium package (sun roof) and will have GPS. Quoted for a 36/12k lease just under $40k with $2500 down and $420 a month. Is that good? Thanks. And how does one really get them to knock down the price!

Negotiate the best price ... use the pricing tools at the top of the page (make / model / year) to help you find the right price. Check the GLA Lease forum to see what others have been able to negotiate.Edmunds Price Checker

Lots of theories on this. The most important rule to me is to be willing to walk out. That doesn't work too well if you need a car quick, but if you can otherwise tamper any "car fever", that can help. Dealers won't get offended if you ask for a better price (if they do, you're at the wrong dealer anyway).dixon13 said:And how does one really get them to knock down the price!
Lots of people think the best way to test what the best price is to ask for quotes from multiple dealers (we have a quote service you can find when you drill down to the Make | Model to get invoice and TMV numbers).
The further you are willing to drive can help too - more quotes means more dealers competing for your lease dollars.
We also have free live help from 8AM-5PM Pacific daily. You can call or email or chat with someone at the home office while you're at the dealer and they can help you with any questions about the negotiation "in real time". Look for this icon at the top of the page:
