Help with lease offer!

pavgottpavgott Member Posts: 8
edited July 2015 in BMW
I'm a little new to leasing and was wondering if some of the experts out there could help me out with a proposal I received.

I'm looking at BMW 328xi
MSRP: $39,500
Options: $5,500
Destination: $995
Total: $45,995

The total on the car out the door after $1,000 incentive was $43,665. This was the proposal for the vehicle out the door (incl all fees, taxes, etc) based on 3 yrs/ 36,000 miles. I live in VA btw. I was told the residual right now is 65% and I don't know the money factor.

$2500 down - $459/mo
$3500 down - $429/mo

What do you guys think? Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm thinking since 2015s are on their way out, I should be able to snag a sweet deal.

Thank you.

Base MF is .00130. If $43,665 includes tax and acquisition fee... then I get $478/mo. with just 1st payment due at signing.. With $2500 due at signing, I get around $420/mo.

Thanks for the reply. So with 2016 ready to hit the market in a month, do you think an out the door price of 43.6k is a decent deal? I will try to work with the dealer on the money factor as I think that's the discrepancy right now.

You should be able to get 5-6% off the sticker price, before applying the $1000 incentive. So, $43,700 - $1000 incentive = $42,700 as your target price.

The transition between model years always presents a challenge to car shoppers. Often, better deals and incentives exist on the outgoing models, but inventory is scarce and you may not get the exact color and options you want. The new model year is often more expensive but has wider choice.

You should still be able to negotiate a little bit off the 2016's, though I would guess not as much as a 2015.

I was actually able to find one in inventory and got a different offer. What do you think of this?

    MSRP: $48,000

    $430 a month for 36 months/36k miles with $2000 down

    Price includes everything.

Good deal? If not, please let me know what I should be shooting for.

    Thanks!

Cap cost after fees, incentives and down payment was just about $40,000. My sales tax is 4.05%.

    Thanks!
What is the selling price? How does the $2000 get applied?
Cap cost after fees, incentives and down payment was just about $40,000. My sales tax is 4.05%.

    Thanks!
I get $337/mo with those numbers ... something seems off.

Are you saying 5-6% off sticker price before taxes/additional fees?
    Yes
Based on your experience what's the best I'd be looking at if I went the 2016 route? At MSRP or a few percent lower?

    Thank you!!

Can you tell me how you are getting that. I just looked up a formula online.

    Net Cost after taxes: 41620
    Residual: 65% of 48000= 31200
    MF: 0.00130

    I'm getting 384.11

    Thank you

Now I'm confused. I thought the MSRP was $46K, but you state $48K in your latest post. That alone is a $50-60 difference in the payment. Either way, now I'm getting $400+/mo.
