Hi Michaell, I had several questions. What are the is the Money Factor and Residual Value for a 2016 Audi SQ5 Premium Plus for 36 month and 15,000 miles in California.
When will the 2017 Audi SQ5 be out? Any ideas what changes if any will be in the 2017 SQ5? Will there be a USB connection?
In several months does it seem like there will be a better deal on the 2017 SQ5 lease?
I am leaning toward waiting for a 2017 Audi SQ5. I called the dealer and he said you can order a 2017 Audi SQ5 but delivery is probably in Sept/Oct.

Don't have any information on the 2017 SQ5, nor any information about equipment levels.
It's hard to predict how Audi will market the 2017's. Sometimes they will offer pretty good introductory rates, but they may also set up the lease numbers so as to help move the old 2016 stock.
I went to the local Audi dealership today to look at the SQ5. During the negotiation, a sales manager stated the 42 month lease was the "sweet spot" and my payments would go down $50-$60 a month compared to a 36 month lease without any other financial factors changing. Can anyone confirm this? I can't really see how this would be possible. The additional miles and age of the vehicle would have to lower the residual, right?

42 month term MF is .00020 higher, and the residual is 4% lower than the corresponding 36 month term.
With all else being equal, the payment would probably be about $15-$20 per month lower.
Do you have the new MF and residual for premium plus 36mo/12k miles for July?
Thanks!
Not yet.
Anything yet? Premium plus 36mo/12k miles
Thanks!

$1000 Summer of Audi incentive, and $750 loyalty cash.
Sorry to be a bother, but just wanted to confirm those numbers. My dealer says that the numbers didn't change from last month, which would actually be better for me.

My apologies. I gave you the numbers for the 3.0T. The SQ5 numbers are .00120 and 58% for 36/12
Hi, I'm wondering if this is a good deal on a lease for a 2016 Audi SQ5 premium plus at MSRP of $62,225 and negotiated price of $58,000 which doesn't include the $1000 summer incentive and $750 BMW owner incentive. The lease number they gave me was 10k / 36 month at $719 which included 9.8% tax and that is with 3k down. I'm in the state of Washington. They said they were using a money factor of .0014 and residual of 59%. DMV app fee was about $450 and an acquisition fee of $795. Can you see if this is a good deal? What do you get? Thanks!

The base MF is .00120. 59% residual is correct. $795 is the base acquisition fee. Money factor is marked up.
Given your numbers, the payment looks about right. $2500 of your upfront going to payment and fees, and about $500 to CAP cost reduction.
Quick question, how does DMV and documentation fees get calculated into lease payment? If both together were $500, would u divide by the term and add that to your lease payment?

If you are adding it into the adjusted capitalized cost and not paying it up front, then yes.
Remember, if you do that, that amount will be subject to both interest and tax.
Hi Michaell, I'm having a dilemma here, originally I posted these numbers that I'm getting a 2016 Audi SQ5 premium plus with the following numbers: MSRP of $62,225 and negotiated price of $58,000. There is an additional $1000 summer incentive and $750 BMW owner incentive. The lease number they gave me was 10k / 36 month at $719 which included 9.8% tax and that is with 3k down. When I plug my numbers into the Edmunds lease calculator, I am getting around $680 a month. Can you see what you come out with? kyfdx said $719 sounds about right. Please let me know why I'm getting lower numbers from the Edmunds lease calculator. Thank you!

I don't know what assumptions the Edmunds lease calculator makes.
If I use $62,225 as the MSRP and $55,750 as the adjusted cap cost (selling price less $1750 in incentives less $500 cap reduction from the $3k you are giving the dealer), I get $723/mo when 9.8% tax is added in.
I am ordering a 2017 SQ5 Premium Plus for delivery holiday season. MSRP including destination charge is $61,575.
Can you tell me the MF and RV on 36/12 and 42/12 please and what I should expect to pay for the car?
Also, does Audi Care still add a point to RV?
Thank you so much Giles
We don't have any lease numbers that will be good in December. AudiCare does add 1% to the residual.
Did you order a car without negotiating the purchase price?
Yes, but I didn't put a deposit or sign anything. My sales person verified that the colors/options I picked were popular enough that if we didn't come to an agreement in December, they could find a new buyer.
I'm 17 months into a 2015 A6 lease and don't have enough equity currently, so we figured if I ordered now for holiday delivery that my current car would be paid down more and the holiday incentives would make a deal feasible.
I need some help with deciding a brand new 2016 SQ5 Lease vs 2016 SQ5 Used Buy Dilemma. Both 62k MSRP loaded.
The lease deal is pretty damn good. 0 down for 665/mo with taxes for 36 months and 10k/year. My total out of pocket for 36 payments being $23,490 + 169 doc + 229 reg. Residual $38,xx.
The other deal is a used 16' SQ5 with 20k miles, 12 months old, Audicare for $46,000 plus shipping, Private party illinois tax ($1,500), new tires - totaling $49,000.
Hence if I use the car for 3 years. Where do i lose the most considering the used car already has 20k miles? I need some advice on the numbers?
Car will not be modified and I am getting a rate for 2.84% for buying the car that i will finance with 0 down.

With the new car, you know what the expected value will be after 3 years - it's set by the bank. Not true for the used car.
However, a great deal of the depreciation for the used car has already taken place - $16k worth.
My guess is that the used car will be the better value.
