2016 Mazda CX-5 GT AWD Lease Quote

I got this quote at a local dealer (80222):

2016 Mazda CX-5 GT AWD
Tech Package & i-Sense, mats, roof rails
33,707 MSRP

Less 3,170 customer discount
Less 750 lease loyalty

29,783 sale price

However, then they added back in state taxes, tag, title, reg, and "administration" fees which brought it back up to: 32,693! Are these really all legit or some markups going on?

Final lease payment is 357/month for 33/12k

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Angelo

Pretty sure that Colorado taxes the monthly payment, not the selling price.

You should ask them for the NET cap cost, and ask about the tax situation.

Many dealers will add up the full amount, as though you were purchasing the car, but then just give you a payment for a lease, without disclosing how they got to that amount.

Ask for the money factor, residual, CAP cost and amount due at signing.

Living in Colorado, I can confirm that the tax is applied to the monthly payment, not the selling price, and that when you move to an area with a different tax rate, the lease payment changes.

I moved from Aurora to Thornton years ago when I was leasing and my payment went down a few dollars a month due to the different tax rate.
