    Hi Moderator,

I received the quotes from a dealership, MSRP $63,000, selling price $58,000

$2.5k drive off incl Audi Care, 36month/15k per year =$857 per month incl 9% LA tax.

I think is too expensive and way off since I use my lease calculator app, I think will be about $680 per month.

    What do you think?

    Thank You for your help.

Using the selling price as the CAP cost, and 57% residual (up 1% for purchasing AudiCare), I get a payment of $741/mo.+tax. That's about $807/mo.

Don't calculate using your $2500 as a cap cost reduction. That has to go to pay the 1st payment, acquisition fee, title/license/doc fees and Audi Care. Doubt anything would be leftover for downpayment.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted CAP cost, and also, what money factor they are using.

  • Hi Moderator! I'm negotiating an 2016 S5 Cabriolet Premium Plus lease for 36/10k. Dealer quoted 0.00153 MF and 59% residual. $65,000 negotiated price on a $69,450 MSRP for total payment of $877 with no money down. I have two questions: 1) what is the best MF for March on this car? 2) what can I reasonably expect from a negotiated price? Thanks for all of your help!

You are at 6.4% under MSRP, now. With the base MF, that would be a good deal.

Thanks Michaell - So the lease offer has the residual at 54%, but the MF is inflated... Plugging this into a lease calculator it seems I should be getting something in the 600-700 range monthly. Is that I fairly good estimate?

With your prices, I get $718/mo before tax.

We do not recommend using trade equity as a cap reduction - use it to cover the up front costs of the lease (bank fee, dealer fee, first payment) but have the dealer cut you a check for the balance.
