I'm finding the monthly payments quoted on these forums lower than I see from local dealers. I posted a question on the Mazda 6 forum, and we are looking at the 2016 Civic too.Here is what we were quoted January 9 at a local dealer:
2016Civic EX-L lease in Connecticut, 39 mos 12k/yr,
MSRP $24,535
Selling price $23,200
Dealer fee $334
Residual 15,211 (?65.6%,seems like a great number)
$2000 down
Tax, title, reg extra (6.35% Sales Tax,; plates $185)
Money Factor is .00083
Monthly payment quoted is $266 with excellent credit

Seems pretty high compared to many comments I see on the forums. I figure I must be missing something.
Let me know your thoughts?

.00083 MF and 62% residual (residual is a percentage of MSRP).

With $2000 upfront, your payment looks a little high. Instead of giving them a round number upfront, tell them you want an accounting of all fees and extras. Other than the $595 acquisition fee, you might find some things in there that you didn't know you were paying for.

Thank you for your response. After going back to the dealer, we have added lighting options, raising the MSRP to $25, 245. (+$710). All other elements stay the same. New payment is $247.

This sounds a lot closer to other deals I see, what do you think? LD

Here is info I got from dealer:

16 Fit EX price: $19335. Lease payments INCLUDING taxes and ALL fees: $248.71/mo ($230.29+$18.42 tax based on Chula Vista Zip) with $2000 out of pocket.

16 Fit LX price: $17425. Lease payments INCLUDING taxes and ALL fees: $220.65/mo ($204.31+$16.34 tax based on Chula Vista Zip) with $2000 out of pocket.

*All required fees are included and calculated into the lease payment.

Here is info I got from dealer:

16 Fit EX price: $19335. Lease payments INCLUDING taxes and ALL fees: $248.71/mo ($230.29+$18.42 tax based on Chula Vista Zip) with $2000 out of pocket.

16 Fit LX price: $17425. Lease payments INCLUDING taxes and ALL fees: $220.65/mo ($204.31+$16.34 tax based on Chula Vista Zip) with $2000 out of pocket.

*All required fees are included and calculated into the lease payment.

Sorry, we are in the Civic lease discussion ... I was using the Civic lease numbers in my calculations.

What is the MSRP of the LX?
