2009 BMW 335i, 2003 Corvette cnv. (RIP 2001 Jaguar XK8 cnv and 1985 MB 380SE [the best of the lot])
But anyway...
Howzabout a '98 with those miles for $10k asking?
At least the asking price is $1500 less than the other one
Or how about a few more miles but 2 years younger?
They are out there. Just gotta look. I found those in about 5 mins.

Edit: I read the not-so-fine print, that 2002 was too good to be true:
THE PRICE SHOWN ABOVE (WHICH INCLUDES 12 MONTH OR 12000 MILES POWERTRAIN WARRANTY) REPRESENTS THE FINANCED BALANCE REMAINING AFTER A DOWNPAYMENT OF $2,995.00
but, what's with the v* models? Isn't the 6 cyl a vastly better car overall (and especially to buy used)? and cheaper I have to assume.
I would not mind a 2002 or so 5 speed wagon if you find a nice clean one of those!

I almost missed it, even though it was parked right near me.
It was one of those 'beigy' colors.
Looks bigger than I thought it would.
New Jetta - may have cured my VW longings. Word is it will be the same for the new Passat. That has the added baggage of it will be made in the USA. I'm all for made in the USA but as the former owner of an 80 Rabbit I can't imagine ever buying a US made VW again.
Profit.
Well, except for these:
I didn't realize how small these were until I came up close in person.
The lights on the hood still look bizarre to me. Of course I'm too old to be targeted.
I'll take the latter.
Actually, you are probably too young... It's always old people that end up buying the cars that are "meant for young people".
Scion xB is a perfect example...
Why? Young people don't have the money for a new car.

I don't recall the source but we found that out recently in the "Toyota on the Mend" thread.
My current inline-6 is much better.. It is my favorite engine configuration.

I thought it was pretty smooth. Definitely a torquey beast. But, yeah, only 3 gears definitely hampered it.

I think the 4.2 was just a bored or stroked version off the same block, but I'm not sure...
Actually, I liked it... It was a good tranny for a 3-speed.. matched well with the engine...
It wasn't like my dog, though... Didn't like to roll over.. unfortunately..

Hope it rides better than the old one.
I actually prefer the upcoming X1, especially its nose.

Anyone seen a new Quest yet?
and yes, the Odyssey is more hideous with every one I see. It looks particularly bad in Black, so of course, I keep seeing black ones!
I don't get that hung up on styling (more concerned with the interior and driving dynamics), but even I have some standards, and this I would never buy (although easy for me to say, since we want to downsize from a van anyway).

It also bothers me that Honda puts "28mpg" in every ad I've seen, yet that's only the $40k plus Touring models, as most get the lesser 5 speed automatic and an EPA combined 21 mpg.
Nissan didn't show for the Detroit Auto Show - don't know if Nissan plans to be at any of them.

Honda kept the 6 speed out of their volume models and beat the exterior with the ugly stick.
Toyota cut costs inside, I swear my 2007 is much nicer. The 8th seat isn't as good, either, my favorite feature from the 2010.
The Quest looks interesting but specs put the cargo floor at a good 10" shy of fitting a sheet of plywood, so I'm wondering if it's smaller than the class leaders.
Dodge put in a decent engine and a nicer interior, so it's worth a 2nd look.
Kia also put in a massively upgraded engine, though I'd like to see the new Kia re-do the whole van, and come up with a Sonata-like home run.
They're selling very well, too.
