Beautiful car. In the sun, that blue color really popped

That color is Nautical Blue metallic and -on the E53 at least-it's a no-cost option. The E53 wagon arrives next year. I'm sorely tempted.

That front license plate holder is awful... I'd be running without it.

Exactly- I'd risk a ticket to avoid that monstrosity.

That looks like one of the holders that screws into where the tow hook goes. Better than drilling into the bumper.

Should be a style that bolts in the back and sticks out the lower grill though

Even the economical 200SX was a good sporty economy compact car that my buddy had and the SX-R even better if memory serves. Light years better assembled and higher quality than my Neon; though the Neon's 132 horses could potentially win against his non "R" version; when the Neon wasn't in the shop.

My other buddies Geo Prism (Corolla underneath the badge) was slow, but like the 200 SX, was never in the shop. NEVER. Early mid 90's Mazda 6 or was it 626 back then.... was also fast for a little 4-cylinder (both the Mazda and Nissan's were manual transmission - Neon and Prism had automatics).

Last evening I had to make a quick trip to Walmart just before sunset. In traffic on the way I saw a black Escalade up ahead dawdling along. My traffic signal was still green when I got to the intersection and when I took a left turn there, I saw it up ahead. As things happened, at the next signal I got a red and was at the front of the line and the Escalade pulled up next to me. Holy cow, those have gotten really huge! I felt almost like I was next to an 18-wheeler in the way it towered over me. It was actually surprising how much larger it seemed compared to older models. It was occupied by two young ladies, which was a bit of a surprise. I wondered if one or both worked for a livery/limo service as that would help explain why they would be piloting that huge barge to do some shopping.

Lucid exists in fleets too (at least at Enterprise, and Sixt in Europe), I wonder how long they keep them.

Outside a dealer in Manchester Vermont, a pair of VW ID buzz vans. Oddly one was solid while bloomed weird next to a 2 tons version.

Nice Chevy. The sooner UPS buys them, the better. I can't imagine anyone got paid to 'style' their current trucks:

I wish Lincoln’s leased well… I’d have no problem putting one of them in my garage.

Doesn’t look too bad, but absent a hoist and operator, there is no way I could get out of it after a drive. 🙄

Bean, that is my wife’s response to most of the fun cars I show her.

Just read the article. I love it. For a sporty car, at this point, about perfect for us. Only huge drawback is no moonroof. How could they do that to me?

But complain all you want about specific decisions made but you have to give Honda huge props for having the stones to introduce a new model into a dead segment.

    Mercedes C63 Coupe in red.

He tried to keep up with me, but I just walked away from him in the GTI. Pretty sure he knew we were racing..

The C43 wears 225/40-19 front and 255/35-19 rear.
I had to go with the 19" wheel option to get the top speed derestricted to 155 mph.

Blacked out Ineos Grenedier going into our local outlet mall. Brave person to spend that much on one of these without any assurance that the company will survive. I’m way too chicken to spend big bucks on a car from a start-up.

The Arteon has 245/40/19. I had to have one rim repaired as it was bent on the inside. Not sure I did that, thinking it was like that when I bought it. I complained from the start I felt vibration, not bad, but still, over 60 mph. Tires were balanced, rotated with some improvement. When I replaced the tires in June, Discount Tire informed me of the damage and suggested a shop that repaired the rim. Much better now. I’ve never had a rim damaged other than some minor curb rash, sigh. I understand this is a common issue with low profile tires. The shop told me they fix hundreds each month.

for whatever reason I decided at one point 4" of sidewall was minimum acceptable. so the 225/45 I had on one car was OK, and my TLX was the same with 245/40. Anything skinnier than that gives me agita. The 225/60 (I think) on the Maverick are more than adequately chonky.

3.5" sidewalls front and rear on the C43.

245/40 isn't bad. The GTI is 225/40, which is about 8% less sidewall

Spotted an Arteon, the other day.

Wagon has 245/40R19 and I can't imagine wanting anything thinner with the roads here. The chunkier Blizzaks and the fintail's thick sidewalls feel noticeably softer (also are not runflats while the wagon is).
