I've seen two or three new IONIQ5's in my housing development over the last few weeks.
Of course, with the extra $5000+ in CO incentives for EV or PHEV vehicles, they're pretty common around here.
I was at the dealership for an oil change and looked at the IONIQ5 N line while I was waiting. I'm sure it's way fast but not a lot of car for 62 grand

I am surprised at the number of Rivians I see in Spokane - not on Tesla car numbers, but to the point where I don't give a second look anymore. Still haven't seen a CyberStuck.
Saw two new “real” Broncos today in our high school parking lot. I’m amazed and saddened by the number of new/nearly new cars/trucks/Jeeps in those lots. What’s left to look forward to when you drive a >$50K vehicle to high school? I remember when I bought my first new car at age 22. I was so proud of that accomplishment. Trading up from a 9 year old tattered El Camino was huge. Now, what will it take to satisfy these kids? Parents are doing young people a disservice by giving them so much so early.
I am sure all of the new/expensive rides are all parents cars, when it comes to money changing hands.
What's left to look forward to? Probably another new car in a few years, free school, big help with a house, etc
On that note, my cousin's kid was set to receive my cousin's 200K mile Xterra as her first car, but right about the time the kid got her license, the Xterra was hit and totaled. They went out and leased her a new RAV4 to drive - these are people who don't like the risk of an unknown used car, want to protect their baby and I guess can afford it. I never lived in particulatly wealthy areas when I was a kid, in HS in the 90s, any car was something to be happy about and only a few kids had later model cars.
In my neighborhood, an Aston Martin DBX (couldn't tell if it was a 707) in a Matte Gray finish. Looked kinda cool. And imposing as it approached me.

My friend who traded his CT6 hybrid for an Elantra hybrid visited this weekend, and I got to spend some time in it. For 25K, it's a perfectly cromulent car. He claimed 50 mpg on the trip over from Seattle (and he does not baby it, he's a slightly aggressive driver in my eyes). Build quality seemed fine, I saw no issues. Materials are what one expects at that price point, but it was put together well and as Hyunkia prides itself on value, some of the little things were nice, like full LED gauges/nav screen, ambient lighting strip, etc. The color is a pleasing bright-ish blue with typical busy Hyunkia wheels. It seems to sit low which some may not like. Performance seemed adequate - if I had something like that I'd be testing how long I could keep it in EV mode - switchover to internal combustion is noticeable. He says the Caddy was more posh/comfortable, had a better stereo etc, but it had so many quirks that his blood pressure is lower in the Elantra. For a transportation pod with a price which is now fairly low, it'll do the job just fine.
good deal for the money. If I needed something right now, not sure if I would convince myself to spend big money on something fancy when there are some very nice, well-equipped options that are much more affordable.
I've read numerous reports of Crowns in rental fleets - I wonder if there's low demand to the point where there are also consumer deals to be had. On the Toyota note, I have seen several non-rental 25 Camrys lately, apparently these offer a lot of features and although maybe not pretty will no doubt sell like hotcakes for a non-CUV.
My friend's only real gripe with the Elantra so far is that cruise doesn't keep a perfectly stable speed for long periods, on interstate stretches it will vary a little (I think he said no ACC).
Saw my first CyberStuck today, on a state highway maybe 20 miles outside of town, so someone is taking it on a trip!
I'm really surprised at how many I am seeing fur such a weird and expensive vehicles. Businesses here seem to like putting wraps on them for their business. I guess it would tend to catch eyes when it passes

I saw another one today - maybe the same one for all I know. Still not a fan - something awkward to me about how it looks in person, like it is a size larger than it should be, and more daring in concept than in reality. I noticed it also had commercial plates - probably both for that dopey tax write off and because it is the intersection of trucks being too heavy and many EVs being similar.
Not my pic, but these hit our shores this week when they were offloaded from a transatlantic car carrier here at the local Autoport facility. The electric VW ID Buzz is supposedly going to sell in Canada at the $80K Cdn price point, or at least try to…

Pulled up next to one at a stop light, looks even odder up close. There's a big overhang of the roof/A pillar over the side windows, I hadn't noticed that before. And the stainless had lots of hand prints, etc. What a pain that must be. This shows the overhang some, but the lighting must have been just 'right' for me, it really jumped out:

I understand why many are being wrapped - the stainless is cooler in theory than in reality.
I can respect the thing for being daring, but it might end there. The reddit snark forum is also constantly loaded with issues, it seems the first group of cultists are doing the beta testing.
Not a new launch but saw an EQS sedan today, maybe the second I have ever seen in Spokane. The local market just isn't into it and I suspect that's not unique to here. I wonder if it was the car a salesman told me sold for a 12K one pay 2 year lease, which isn't bad on a 130K vehicle.
Also saw yet another 25 Camry, on this one someone put a sticker on the weird DLO fail space.
Saw another CyberStuck the other day, parked on an average street a few blocks from my house. I was in the fintail, which probably made for quite a contrast.
