I spotted a NEW (insert make/model) today!

About a month ago, a couple houses down the street they swapped out an RDX for a Lexus RX,
Today, I noticed their across the street neighbors have a new silver RX. Not sure what it replaced.
Also today, one of the neighbors in the other direction had a new dark blue Pilot in the driveway.
He was cleaning it. Said he just picked it up but it wasn't up to his standards, so he was going through the whole thing.

Watched this look at the new 2025 Camry today. Don’t ask me why but I’ve had a soft spot for the last couple of generations of the Camry. The V6 is gone for the new version but the Motormouth couple seemed to quite like it. I like the exterior design better than the outgoing model and the MPG of the hybrid is incredible. Prices don’t seem crazy either.

If I had a long commute it would be top of my list. I really liked the last rental I had and it wasn’t even loaded up.

I pulled in next to a Cadillac Lyriq in a parking lot today, and the driver was in the car with the window rolled down so I had a brief chat. She liked my ATS so I asked how she liked her new ride. She only has had it for a month but so far likes it very much. It is surprisingly large and this one, white over black inside, looked pretty snazzy even with the unusual rear treatment. I think it probably grows on you. It is at least unique.

Yeah interesting. The dimensions are similar to the Passport. This was out on the road, so maybe the nearby cars made it seem bigger. Anyhow, seems like an odd choice. But I’m sure that there’s many people that will buy it because they think it’s a Honda, unaware of the GM underneath.

I wonder if I saw one yesterday? I had a quick look at a Honda SUV and I thought it was a pilot but it just looked bigger than I expected, and the shape was not quite right?

A lot of the EVs have longer wheelbases, compared to gas models (EV9 vs. Telluride). I think that makes them look bigger, when maybe the overall length isn't any different.

Another new Santa Fe. This one in white. It was hideous. My wife thought so too.

A couple of new style accords. Have to look at the taillights to really tell.

What gets me at the moment about Hyundai brand imaging is the new logo they’re using on steering wheel hubs and the like. A decorative strip with 4 dots on it. Morse code for the letter “H”. Talk about obscure…

Saw a new unplated Kia EV9 in a driveway a couple blocks from my house. It's like a GV80 crossed with an Ioniq 5, with flamboyantly retro-futuristic wheels that look like hubcaps.

The Kia wheel situation sounds better than the Mad Genius' Cybertruck solution with hubcaps that puncture the tires.

The Cybertruck is almost like a joke now, I am not sure it received any testing before it hit the road. You really have to be in the cult to want one.

There's a fun video out there about the safety stop auto close feature frunk slicing simulated (by vegetables) fingers much easier than other brands - I can't find the link. Sub 10-micron technology I suppose.
