Is there chance that someone knows details of the audio system?
He has told me that the system has no cd player. I would like to add a factory one. Which model(part no) should I seek for? Is the part i am looking for it a in dash changer or one that will fit in the boot? Should I change the whole am/fm/cassette deck or will the stock one be able to drive a cd changer?
If i decide to put an aftermarket unit, what will i do with the gap from the double din stock unit?
You should ask the service dept at your dealership.
The they put a chip in the back of your factory installed radio. I even had them send the antenna to there body shop and paint it for me,[midnight blue]the color of my car. I had the sevice dept. call to activate for me and sirius gave me 1 year service at no cost.It works great you will really enjoy it.
I've had it to the dealer and they said they ordered a part for it. The part is now in and I will be bringing it in this week for service. I'll let you know if it works.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Possibly on a different car?
What are the downfalls? Can they be removed if they begin to look bad?
Please advise.....Thanks
Only follow the instructions, verify carefully the fitting and clean with a damp cloth.
Now, the good news: The Euro export version of the 300C is a 155mph car. The difference: a 155mph chip & better rubber. So you’re a simple Euro chip away from a 155mph car, or that and new rubber for a safer 155mph car.
To check this out yourself simply google “155mph 300C” for dozens of articles on the 300C in its Euro form (155mph chip & high speed Pirelli rubber--the only changes from US spec), or go to: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/?http
Looks like you have done some research on upgrading to a full Nav system. I too would like to upgrade to the full Nav system. Do you know if it can be done with a factory unit? If so, can anyone other than a dealer do it?
Any resources you can point me to would be appreciated.

'Ordered mine tonight once I found the filter made specifically for my 300C. Was leery about ordering the Bentley workaround after reading earlier comment about throttle burst lag. (There is a 2mm height differential and a 3mm width differential between the 33-2543 (Bentley) and the 300-specific 33-295 which may possibly account for the off-idle degradation reported with the Bentley filter, if it isn't nesting in perfectly.)
The aftermarket systems that do not require an extra key will still need to copy the chip from a valid, programmed key.
I have a Viper system (791 Responder system) that works great; much better range than the Chrysler one at about the same overall price. I bought 3 valet keys; one for the remote start module and 1 each for myself and my wife. I put the OEM BM keys in a drawer as they are not needed and just add bulk in my pocket.
I you don't mind, approx what should I expect to pay?
Thanks for your help.
The dealer agreed at time of purchase to order in the Nav and install at his cost. Said to expect it to take 10 days, which will be later today.
Dealer's cost on the Nav module (which has the Sound Group II radio built into it) is $1450. The bezel is approx. $50 and the GPS antenna is around $100, with $70 to swap out the modules & do all the setup of GPS, compass mag var, etc. With tax it'll be around $1790. I keep the original Sound Group II radio module & original bezel & sell on eBay.

I was politely informed by Karen that I'd violated policy to have included phone number & address for a K&N filter dealer. My apologies to all. Here is the info again, minus the offending stuff:
K&N now makes a filter specifically designed for the 2005 300-series cars, as well a high performance induction system to replace the stock air box. Here's that info:

"Ordered mine tonight once I found a filter made specifically for the 300C (all 2005 Cs...)" should read "(...all 2005 Chrysler 300 models [i.e., even the 6-cylinder versions, per K&N]).
Thanks again.

Glad to help. FYI, all 3 components needed for the NAV conversion arrived in 8 days (to Phoenix, AZ). Installation will occur on Monday, with one of the perks of 300C ownership, a free rental car while your C is in for service, already arranged for by the dealer.

I want to add UConnect to my car (the only option I couldn't find.) My dealer wants to install the goofy "external" version - it has a little fob that is attached somewhere on the console and appears to have an external speaker.
I want the rearview mirror integrated UConnect (as it comes from the factory)
Has anyone done this or knows whether it is possible?
Will post if there's any good news re. fuel mileage increase.
PS. To the gentleman wanting to disconnect his ESP I have bad news. The system is more than just stability control. It is also ABS and brake proportioning and traction control. You can use the button on the dash to turn off the ESP side and then if you want to smoke the tires turn off the esp and lightly tap the brake pedal while applying the throttle. This will deactivate the ESP and the traction control temporarily.
My dealer just gave me a quote today on the system installed ...$2,340. There are about 4 dealers in the local area so I guess I'll go shopping.
Thanks again for your help.

I came across some pictures from the SEMA show, but can't find what brand it is.

Hold the presses. Here's a smokin' deal from eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1- &item=7934399837&category=38653&sspagename=WDVW
It's the complete Nav Radio (less bezel-$50 at dealer), + Hands Free + Satellite Radio (some small items from dealer needed here too) all for $1725. Depending on what options you already have in the car this may or may not be the perfect package for you, but the total cost beats dealer by around $500. You may also be able to contact the seller directly (a Mopar agency) and buy just the Nav radio if that's all you want or need.

Installation experience?
The engine will make more or less power at WOT depending on a lot of factors. Ultimately, the biggest factor in producing power on a given engine is how much air and fuel (assuming it's at the right ratio) fills the cylinder before ignition. Yes, I'm sure you already know this. MAF or speed density, the ultimate goal is to know the MASS of the air. Density is a factor that determines the mass.
Anyway, depending on the filter media and the condition/state of the filter media and other aspects of the intake, the vacuum that is being measured will be affected.
Question: will I lose the 6 CD changer if I install the factory nav system? One dealer said yes, the other said no.
Regards,
Glenn
