Glen, I suppose both are right, it's a matter of perspective. Your current radio, incl. 6 CD changer, comes out, and the Nav radio, incl. 6 CD changer, goes in.

And hang on to your original radio and bezel--they're worth an immediate $125 on eBay.
    Good luck.

The grill shown on the post just above yours is $3500 large. You can get a similar grill for much less cash.

I just talked to the dealer. My AWD just arrived with delivery end of next week. It is a Christmas present for my wife. The AWD comes with aluminum brushed wheels. The dealer, parts dept and such are trying to figure out if the chrome spoked RWD 300 C (stock wheels) will fit on the AWD? Same tire size 225x60x18 but the scoop in the stock wheel is more prodominant than the AWD wheel which appears flat. Anyone know if you can swap them?

Does anyone have any comments, positive or negative, on how well this system works, displays, ease of use, etc.

I've had my black 300C for about 4 months now... I have installed a new air intake (which I was told would increase my hp by 15-20), put on the bently mesh grill, racing pedals, and have new TSW wheels scheduled to be delivered in 1-2 weeks.

What I want is to find the same style grill I have for the LOWER part, near the fog lights. Anyone know where to find this???

Oh, by the way, my car didn't come with the xenon headlights, so I got some aftermarket hyper blue headlights, and I they look spectacular at a FRACTION of the cost from the dealer.

My intention is to also paint the brake calipers...and i'm thinking, but i'm not sure yet, to install the sports vents on the rear doors, wheel well trim, and maybe the rear deck (truck) trim. Any comments or advise on any of this? I'll be happy to email pics of my car to those who are interested.

For those of you freaks like myself, I got myself for xmas a remote controlled 300C...and it RIPS!!! It was cheap, and it's a whole lotta fun....

Hello, I have a 300 Limited with the Nav,6 disc CD factory system and would like to install a sealed sub in the trunk. Has anyone attempted this? I figure I'll need a mono amp and upgraded wiring for this... Here is the sub I have

    http://www.searchbeat.com/electronics/electronics0766.htm

any recommendations for amp selection and install would be appreciated... would installing amps interfere with the stock radio/alarm/nav/uconnect?

I would like to add UConnect to my NAV equipped 300 also. Has anyone had any success with this? Please respond and let me know. It seems like you should be able to add it on after the fact... THANKS!

5.7l Hemi will make 500hp with the addition of a supercharger. Does anyone know of an available supercharger kit?

Can you tell me where you got your Bentley Grill and can I order it on line? Also how much did it cost you? Thanks, MIKE

I don't know what state your in or how long you have had your C but you might want to check the lemon law in your state. In Maryland if you have owned your vehicle for 15 months or less and have had your car in the shop for the same problem for three times or more the dealer has to give you a new car. GOOD LUCK, Mike

Anybody not satisfied with the handling of a 300?

I am not and I'd like to do something about it so that's why I joined the Discussion group.

I know most of you guys drive the HEMI and have other problems (how to get more HP etc.) but there gotta be some AWD drivers out there, right?

Don't get me wrong I love the car but I think the handling on my test drive (Fully loaded Hemi - downtown) and now on day to day commute on the highways can't compare and leave me wondering. I decided for the car because of the good price/value ratio and I can't afford a Beamer or star.

I am a German native who enjoyed the 10% of unlimited highways we have back home and I can tell you that you I am not sure I want to drive this car 140mph flying low in Germany the way it handles right now (of course our highways are far better on the surface).

I am experiencing some bad handling and sometimes I feel like I ride a boat in rough water and not a car. I used to have a sporty car and I am aware of the fact that it's a Sedan, it's more like cruzing etc. but I did not expect it to be that annoying.

On some the highways (I95) when the surface is uneven and bumpy it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth and although I love the car and all I think of trying to improve the handling.

I recently bought a 300 Touring AWD which comes with the 18" alloy wheels which I do like but the gap really looks bad so I'd like to size up the wheels & tires.

Has anybody purchased and installed 20" wheels on the 300 AWD model? I guess 300C or 300 Touring does not make a difference when we are talking about the AWD versions, right?

I have seen plenty of nice wheels for the 300 but they are never designed for AWD and many of the websites mention "only for RWD"

With 20" I would also like to lower the car an inch or so, any experience here?

I KNOW THIS WAS LONG, SORRY!

    Any replies appreciated

Hi to all my fellow hemi drivers. Just to let everyone know how much I like this car, here is my story. It was time for a new car and a performance sedan is what I wanted. So first thing I had to do was get rid of my present 4 door. No problem. Selling my 98 MB S500 with 60k miles was very fast because it was spotless. Thats right, I sold my 100k plus dollar car for a Chrysler 300C. I went to the dealer and they had only one left, a black one minus the xenon headlights and bluetooth. Not one problem at all with the car. Now 5k miles have passed and I just got rid of it. Why you say. I couldn't deal with black paint anymore ( swirls, tiny scratches, dirty etc.)It was drivin' me nuts. O.k. then ,what did I replace with.........A bright silver 300C with the xenon and bluetooth. The dealer loves me.

What a surprise when the dealer lifted my hood to check my fluids when I brought the car in for an adjustment. I had a custom vinyl graphic made that says "Drive It Like You Stole It!" on the sill under the wipers. Looks awesome above that hemi cover. What the heck , there's one on the back glass of my vette too. Too all my fellow 300C owners. The oem side window deflectors and hard black mud guards are great to have for the obvious reasons. Anybody know of a shift kit or chip for this car? Should be a lot crisper.

I fell in love with the Strutware mesh grill that I saw at the Chicago Auto Show. Smaller mesh than E&G and similar that really looks great! Problem is that my local dealers want $2400 for the grill and the two lower bumper pieces.

Anyone know a dealer that is willing to charge a reasonable price for these grills vs. the inflated charges they expect the rappers to pay?

    Thanks, folks, for your suggestions!

Hello. I just bought me a black 300 limited back in Jan. and I love it. Your ride sounds pretty wicked. I have a website for you where they have the mesh inserts for the air dams. The site is: www.autotrucktoys.com/300/ This site has some of the best stuff I've seen so far. They update it about once a week. The inserts are on the front page. If you could tell me the site for the xenon bulbs. I would appreciate it. Boltsfan83@aol.com

I picked up a black 300C a few weeks ago and love the car. I am interested in buying one of the grilles I saw on the Mopar site linked here. I'm also interested in perhaps adding a sunroof. Would it be best to have the Chrysler dealer do it or should I go elsewhere? I'm sure it might be cheaper to go somewhere else, but am worried about voiding the warranty.
  • bjsohiobjsohio Member Posts: 69
I remember reading something about you can't add a sunroof if your have the protection pkg with side impact airbags...

Hello, I have the same car: 300 Touring AWD and guess what? I am in Germany. Handling is between fair to good and yes I drove this car high speed. I have it new so I still testing it, I haven't pushed to 140mph yet because new cars cant drive it fast in the first 2000 miles. (Not good for engine parts)

But I drove it to 125mph once and I think it was a good feeling of driving a safe car.

Now question, when you press brakes, does your car tend go to the sides? Let me know.

I heard that we can place 22" rims to our car and still we can lower it.

Find out TIS. Even shows RWD you can get Rims for AWD but you need to call them first. Buy DUB magazine or RIDES magazine (April/May issue) it comes with 300C Aftermarket Bible.

    Hopefully this email helps.

I would like to see what you did with your license plate and how you did it , where you got your chrome bracket etc. the dealer drilled a P.O.S. holder that clamps onto the grill.

    Thanks

Hey Bro heres the deal on transforming your nav screen to play dvd's or to watch t.v.. There is a company called "installation specialties" (i think that was the name) that was advertising to aftermarket dealers a piece called "nav-pro" that was supposed to do what you and I want. Problem is it never materialized and there was no plans to pursue it. I have been in the electronics business almost 40 years and my father was a pioneer in the industry so i have some connections, but nothing yet. If I hear of something so will this forum.

I fully understand where you are coming from. I had purchased a 2003 Lexus RX330 and all they had was black. It is the most unforgiving color for a purist to have--no doubt about it! Got rid of it within the first four months. Drove me crazy!!!

I hve installed a 32 pc. wood kit in my 300 Limited and the Calif Walnut color is a perfect oem match and looks beautiful! I have installed wood kits in my last 8 cars and they all looked fantastic. You must be very careful when installing, however, because the 3-m adhesive sticks right now !!! There should never be any need to remove the wood.
  • chirojedichirojedi Member Posts: 2
Does anyone else think that the tranny in the 300 awd shifts slow? I was wondering if anyone knows about a shift kit for it. I also want to up the horsepower, but I think I will wait around for a turbo kit to become available.

i plan on gettin an E&G grill for my 300c vanilla that should be here in June, I want to get the mesh grill but Im not sure if i should get the stainless steel or the chrome one, the steel one i can get for 282 shipped on ebay, cheaper than any site ive seen and i can get a chrome one on ebay for upper 500s, the ? is in person will the diff in material make that big a difference in terms of shine, and also i plan on gettin the fog light grills too but they only come in stainless steel so would that look dumb if i got the chrome? also how much roughly do dealers charge for the grills, caus im sure its alot more than the internet prices but I would need them to install it, thanks
  • astroman716astroman716 Member Posts: 12
Hey Guys thats cool but thats not what I,m looking for, the "nav-pro" used the existing dvd-rom from the unit. Therefore bypassing any connection to the parking brake or relay to work (no nav but movies), plus it was to use the audio section and allow for 5.1 decoding. Remember, with this unit your talking about it still needs a dvd player and/or a tuner for a video source plus audio. Your going to spend at least $800. min on equipment and more if you want to receive t.v.. before installation. Better off putting a screen in the sun glass holder, you get my drift.

I have had my 05 300c for about a week now, and it is everything I imagined and more. I have no complaints with the car, but I'm interested in upgrading the air intake and exhaust system.
Did anyone have this done? Also, which brand do you recommend to bring out an increase in power and add a deeper/louder "growl" to the dual exhaust?
Does it affect the manufactory's warranty?

Have you receved your unit yet I am very curious

    Hi-
This has been touched upon in discussions around dvd players and the nav, but I have a simple question. I have a brand new 300c with satellite radio, nav, the works. I miss some of the features from my wife's nav (in her Acura...mostly the touch screen) but one thing is down right awful. The concept that we can't enter an address (other than a limited set of already entered ones) while the car is in motion is terrible.

I'm all for safety features, but did Chrysler/Alpine/whomever consider the fact that there may be a passenger who can safely use the nav? My wife was sitting next to me and we had to pull off the highway to enter a destination so that we could get around some traffic.

Does anyone know a fix that disables the in-motion restrictions?

    Thanks,

    Lou
