Problem with used car purchase

I have purchased(financed) used car from a dealer... I got a pretty good deal and was satisfy with my choice... Everything seem nice and smooth.... Then after paying down payment and signing everything I asked them if they can remove the window tints and they agree to do so for free but it will take day or two... Cool... so... After giving them every single penny I have to my name as down payment I had to catch bus home I called 2 days later for an update and couldn't find anyone who could give me an update... After 5 calls I was able to speak to the person that sold me the car and was told to come and pick up the car on Monday after 1 pm ( I purchased the car on Tuesday) little disappointed but I was still excited to own a car after 2 weeks of catching buses and walking to work... Ok on Monday I show up at the darker around 4 pm... I looked everywhere but didn't see my car the sales person comes out and ask me what am I doing there?!! He says "why didn't you call first? Your car is not ready yet!!! It's at the shop in different town 40 minutes away"!!! Then he tells me they had to replace few 02 censors top the brake fluid and check out the air bag?!!! Wait a minute I thought they were removing window tints?Before I go on let me say this... No I didn't have a mechanic with me and I know it's my fault for not asking all the questions before signing anything... I'm a single female no close friends or family but luckily I have always found good cars at good price never had any issues but I think my luck may have ran out So it's been a week since I bought the car and I still can't get any straight answer on condition of my car or whereabout.. I called 3 times today just to hear that they will call me right back... What I know for sure is that the business is legit and have good rating with BBB I need a vehicle ASAP I can't even afford to pay for public transportation no more... Should I be worrying? Any advices? Thank you~

@chynagirl077 Yes, no car a week after you paid for it, and it's not on their lot. I'd be worried, too.

I would call and ask to speak with the General Manager.

Ask the GM where the car is. If he can't tell you, tell him you either want your car the following morning, and if he can't deliver it, then you want him to cancel the contract, and if he can't do either of those things, you're going to Small Claims Court to file a suit for your money back and cancellation of the contract. (not sure Small Claims can actually cancel a contract, but it's a good threat).

Stores don't install or remove tint themselves. They farm this work out to a place that specializes in this.

What I don't understand is how they decided that car needed work unrelated to the removal of the tint?
