Ya know, I don't think I've used a front plate since the mid oughts. They usually have the plate frame drilled in as an afterthought. I've had no police ever say a thing to me about not having a front plate. I read something several months ago stating OHIO planned on doing away with front plate requirements. Something about charging the same amount for the plates, yet only giving you one plate. There's a money making scheme.
And, you're right, it is easy to find in a parking lot.
So far (knockin' on my noggin'), even after a year, I don't have a scratch, a chip or even a ding on my car. Can't remember when that's ever happened in the past. Looks just like those pictures when they were taken over a year ago, shortly after I drove it off the dealer's lot.
@xwesx thanks again for the help. My internet/wifi speeds are pretty good in my home office.....around a 100mbps down and 30mbps up. So, photos load quickly.
funny experience today. Went to target with the wife, and it had rained a lot so we took the RDX Parked out a ways, so no cars nearby. Came out, and parked behind us was a new style RDX, in modern steel (gray), the color my wife liked at the dealer. So I had to send her back to look, then took a lap around it in the car. Of course, now she is not sure she likes that color. Maybe the medium silver instead.
Acura IMO did a lousy job having a good color selection on this model.
And this is not terribly exciting, but an example of an affordable car that would be quite useful as a spare to have around or winter beater. And would not feel guilty at all hauling the dog around in it!
Not really the sporty coupe you had been considering, but perfectly nice. My wife had a 2007 Mazda3 Grand Touring which was great, save for some electrical system issues.

Yeah that's what's giving me pause; we have 2 sedans now and little use for a 3rd. However the price fits, the mileage isn't bad, it's equipped well, and it's a fun to drive car so it's under consideration as a fall back considering the owner of the Prelude declined my initial offer and asked for a few days to consider my 2nd and what I noted was my final offer.
I did some digging and he's been trying to sell it since ~February for $4K and obviously hasn't had any bites.

any idea of trade value of 2008 bmw 335 convertible with sport, premium and cold weather packages? No navigation. Has 43000 miles. Just had water pump and oil filter gasket replaced as well as low pressure fuel pump sensor and oil pan gasket. (Boy am I glad that I bought an extended warranty- still have 1.5 yrs left of warranty). Tires with 8000 miles. Brakes with 10000 miles. Space grey with black guts. AT. One ding on top of rear bumper 1/4 in by 1/2 inch otherwise excellent. (Guess who didn’t pull far enough into the garage). Interior good as well except interior pull for drivers door has 1/2 in area where black plastic bubbled but it’s black underneath. All recalls including air bag taken care of . No accidents
Thinking of trading for Jeep JL wrangler unlimited. Is that insanity??
I bought it in 12/2009 with 1900 miles. Bought a 10 yr /100000k easycare warranty (totalcare) with $250 deductible. It pays for tire repair or replacement with no deductible too. So far it has paid for 6 tires and all the repairs listed above - oil filter gasket twice because the local shop made it worse...
We had a 2005 Mazda3s and the wife loved it, sold it then end of 2014 with about 157K on the clock. She liked it more than I did but it was time to swap it for another vehicle when we did it.

Did a trip to Punta Gorda today to get three minivans. They are in big demand right now and hard to find. Got a bit lost getting to the airport but probably my fault for putting in the wrong street number in Waze in my lead drivers iPhoneX. Took all afternoon to go and come and squeeze lunch in also. I had a 2018 Grand Caravan and it was fine, used cruise control 90% of the drive back as my feet hurt. A very good minivan but the looks need some attention!! Dodge, are you listening???

The Grand Caravan is EOL (End Of Life). For most purposes, it has been replaced by the Chrysler Pacifica (which did completely replace the T&C). They are still making the Grand Caravan in order to sell a cheaper alternative to the Pacifica, but they are not about to improve it or revamp it or change it. If you want better, buy a Pacifica.
After driving our Pilot through the rain yesterday, I need to know who to talk to in order to get a “track mode” setting programmed into the 9 - Speed Automatic & AWD system. That would make it more fun!

I know a lot of us talk about how we don’t like certain color combinations for whatever reason. Today I saw an ///M4 Coupe In Silver (Silverstone I presume) with Black Guts & it just looked fantastic.

OK, Jaguar time. a CPO 2017 XE, 3.5t premium. Gray over black, 26,000 miles. Looks fairly basic. Does have cold weather package and 18" wheels. Moonroof. But does not look like any other goodies (no BLIS or it seems Navi). I think orig MSRP was about $46k.
I don’t see myself ever owning any British automobile. US, Japan, Korea, Germany – owned cars from all of the above. Never owned a British made car or truck or SUV or whatever. No prejudice, I like Great Britain (love Australia). But … Back around 1975 or 1976, somewhere in there, one of my coworkers bought a Triumph TR7. This was back in the day, when I was still a real car nut. At about that time, I was driving around (and yes, occasionally street racing) a Demon 340. Anyway, all of the car nuts at work were fascinated by that TR7. Which fell apart faster than you or anyone could glue it back together.
All of which left me with a bad feeling about British made automobiles.
Oh, yeah, don't let me forget France. I owned two Peugeots. Rather enjoyed them, too.

I read yesterday that PSA (Peugeot, Citroen, Opel) is planning a return to the North American market next year, with sales locations in 15 US states and 4 provinces of Canada. That should be interesting.

I actually drove a new Peugeot, in Mexico no less as a rental. I think it was a 504 (Not really sure as Peugeots were already gone in the U.S. by that time).
We were on vacation. Not a bad car. Seemed to ride and handle OK. Not very exciting. Seemed big for a car that came from Europe/France.
Not sure what they have now that might interest the American driver.

I’m not sure of their current offering either. The modern equivalent of a 505 Turbo or 405 mi16 could be cool.
I always thought the 505 was a very nice looking sedan.

In the mid $26k's. So for CPO? I dunno...$31k?
