I used my OPPO 205 for years to play my DVD-As, SACDs, DVDs and Blu Rays. Tempted to sell it, given they are going for crazy money on fleaBay. But, as long as I can play my disks in my home theater (I do, because of my large Blu Ray collection), I’ll probably hold on to them.

I’ve got some good ones, too.

-DOSD by Pink Floyd in multi-channel

-King Crimson-Court of the Crimson King

    -Emerson, Lake and Palmer-Trilogy

    -Elton John-Tumbleweed Connection

    And others…..

At one point, they were playable in the Acura TL’s sound system, and sounded wonderful.

Alas, Acura quite supporting the format a while ago.

    But, my disks live on.

I have ELP’s remastered “Pictures at an Exhibition “ and it sounds amazing.

    I bet that sounds glorious.

It might be my cyclical nature, but I found myself going around and around about whether to faithfully read the more than 550 messages that were accumulating in this thread. I kept trying to pick away at them, but they were coming faster than I could ingest. Finally, with 501 left, I decided to just mark the thread as read.

I know I likely missed three or four acquisitions in that time, but so it goes. So it goes....

ah, no 2-door for me, as cool as it is.

So, speaking of the Patrol/Safari, there was one last night that was just perfect with super low miles ... less than 60k km. Looking at its history, I saw it had been at auction about half a dozen times, each time with a starting ask of 990,000 yen, about $7800. No takers at any time. This time, it did not show a starting bid, so I threw 630000 at it, about $5k. The brokerage wrote to me to say something like "nice truck. starting bid 990000." I didn't do anything with it. I figured nobody bought it the previous 6 times at that price, so why would I pay it? This morning comes and I check the results. It wound up getting close to 3million!! I don't get it. Where were all these people the previous 6 times it crossed?

I've had to do that in the members forum a few times also, just get so busy and then see like over 1000 post's I haven't gotten to yet. Feel bad, but just makes things easier to mark as read. Even being retired & working only part time, wonder where all the free time goes!

So the N replaces the G. And the 3 has a stay of execution until you maybe find a Mach E? Is that where we are right now?

Here’s an idea; hold onto it until @qbrozen gets his biz going and it could be the inaugural car to hit his lot. That might yield a windfall profit for him especially if he steals it from you. After all these years you owe him at least that much.

OF, drove a newish 2022 Kia Sorento at work today and was amazed at how well it was appointed inside plus the way it drove. Was a base model in black over black cloth but was a nice combo in the sunlight. Peppy engine and it seemed to sip the petrol on my 30 mile drive from West Palm to western Coral Springs. Seats were comfy and the cloth was grippy, excellent egress/ingress. Ergonomics were spot on with everything right where it should be and the audio was decent sounding. If in the market for a mid-sized CUV, would definitely have one of these on the short list.
Earlier in the day, drove a newer Ford Ecosport, Titanium edition which should be top of the line. Had the better audio system, a B&O unit I think, but have no idea what that stands for. The size was dead on perfect for my needs and egress/ingress wasn't bad at all. A bit anemic when I hit the gas pedal but one just would need to plan early to merge into traffic. Looked up the mileage figures and a bit dismal for it's size to be honest. And it's a Ford...something I'd never even consider buying. But for the rental market...why not.

Sandy, today we saw this on our lot:

It’s a Polestar2 EV. I guess it’s true that Enterprise is buying everything that isn’t nailed down.

On the EcoSport I found the interior to be kind of cheap and yeah, it didn’t have a lot of power.

I received my Amex bill online just now, and went over it carefully, as I always do. And it's a good thing I did. SiriusXM jumped from $12 a month to $30. Got online, threated to cancel all services, got it lowered back down to about $16, lowest I could get this time. This is for two vehicles.

I always feel scummy after dealing with them, they are a real bunch of crooks. But I do like the service.

I wouldn't use Visa or Mastercard for this, but Amex, yes. It's very very easy to contest a charge with Amex, very different than Visa or Mastercard.

I agree, prices are outrageous at every rental company. That’s partially because they have to pay sticker like everyone else. The rest is supply and demand…more customers than cars.
