Alright to put 45R16 instead of 50R16 tires on my rims which I have now?

    What is the size of the current tires? Are they 195/50-16? Or some other size?

    The 2nd number (45 or 50) is a ratio. It doesn't signify anything by itself, without the other numbers.

    No!! That would be going down in load carrying capacity and that leads to overload tire failures.
