Did you recently rush to buy a new vehicle before tariff-related price hikes? A reporter is looking to speak with shoppers who felt pressure to act quickly due to expected cost increases; please reach out to PR@Edmunds.com for more details by 4/24.
Thanks for the quick response! I am in GA - they changed the laws a couple years ago and its a little convoluted in how they charge tax. I thought that the tax should only be on the lease payments, but am not 100% sure.
I'll confirm the lease holder with the dealer, although on the doc, it does say "GMFINLEASE01" as the lease institution.
Are the doc fees of ~$700 standard or is that high in your experience?
Georgia is one of a handful of states to assess sales tax against the entire selling price - it's called an "ad valorem" tax.
Doc fees seem a bit excessive. Try to mitigate that with a lower selling price.
Thanks for the responses. This might be a dumb question, but assuming that the money factor and the residual is set by the leasing company, is the determining factor on a "good deal" on a lease essentially the percentage off of MSRP that you can get the selling price/cap cost?

The MF can be marked up by the dealer for extra profit. But, discount from sticker is a big factor in your lease payment.
We don't show a lease program for the 2016 model, this month.
Sorry, I am pretty new at this. If it doesn't show a lease program, does that mean that dealerships arent leasing 2016s this month? Or does it mean that the numbers haven't come out yet?

The numbers have been released, but there aren't any for the 2016 Escalade. Which means, to us, it will be very expensive to lease.
Thanks, guys. I have been working with a dealer for the past few days and he just gave me this quote on a 2016 Luxury 2WD, 12K, 39 months:
MSRP: $79,635 Cap Cost: $74,252 (includes $595 Acq and $5022 in taxes) Money Factor: .00143 Drive off (1st month, title, doc fee): $1629 Residual: 60% - $840 allowance for mileage (has 4400 miles as a demo vehicle) Monthly payment: $876
I think the numbers add up, and feel like this is a pretty good discount from MSRP. What do you think?

I get $874/mo with those numbers - close enough.
Yes, over $10K off sticker is a pretty healthy discount. Have you tried pushing for more?
Thanks! I have and this I think that this is about as low as they are willing to go. I *think* invoice on this model is around 72K, so without the taxes, I am about 3K under invoice. Of course, it is a loaner so that is accounting for a big portion of the discount.
If you have heard of people getting more than 10K off of sticker on the Escalade, I would love to know how much they ended up paying so I can see if I can negotiate anything additional.
Wierd thing, the dealer seems to be $2/mo off on all calculations no matter the terms. Not sure what is causing this, but felt like it was an easy thing to let go.

We don't track selling prices so can't help you with that.
A couple bucks on a lease that size is a rounding error
Thank you. He didn't say anything about deducting for demo miles. He said hell do the deal at 820 but that's his lowest. Well see tmrw if that's his lowest haha
2016 Escalade December lease rates please? Trying to pick one up with a good discount.
39/10k, luxury vs premium? 36/10k also if available? Thanks so much!
We don't have the December Cadillac numbers.
However, there were no 2016 numbers available, last month. Not likely to be any supported leases this month, either.
Thanks a lot Michaell!
I sent several emails to my local dealers and no luck. Is there any way I can find the rates?? They (dealers) should have some kind of numbers to calculate lease payments, right?
I also had a chat session with a Cadillac online rep, no luck -_-

This is not information that is widely distributed. The less you know, the better it is for the dealers.
But, at this point, I'm guessing the lease rates for 2016's are not going to be good.
Any info on Money factors and residuals on '16 platinum 4wd? The dealer is willing to discount the car significantly. Not sure this would be a good deal or not. Thanks.

No 2016 Cadillac lease information available. Looks like GM has stopped support of them.

When you re-post, MSRP and selling price or CAP cost would help.
