Need some help, I'm down to the wire in negotiating a lease deal on a 2016 CMax Energi SEL. The dealer kept only wanting to give me the black box type of here's your monthly payment with so much down. Using the Edmunds lease payment calculation method I was coming up less than the dealer figures. So I pressed and asked for the detailed items that are all being rolled into the Net Capitalized Cost.

In the attached file there is an item I'm not familiar with - Tax on Collected Items What makes up this items? I'm seeking a sanity check that these are legitimate since it seems like collecting tax to factor into the NCC duplicates my sales tax being applied at the bottom.

Thoughts / guidance / help appreciated. If I posted this in the wrong place please move it to the right forum.

The rebate is taxed.. In the 2nd example, the CAP cost reduction is also taxed. That is the "tax on collected items". California taxes the monthly payment, so any taxable amounts paid upfront are taxed separately.

That is a really nice set of numbers. Clear and concise. $319/mo. with zero out of pocket looks pretty good.
