In the picture on the hill on the right, a blue Civic, cream Mustang II and Volvo fastback(?).
On the left a green with white top Mark V or Montego.
Pass from left to right, at the bottom of the hill, one of the motorcycle cops from Magnum force. :D

    Also at Bob's, a 1949 Buick and 1950 Mercury.

In the SF hill pic there are 2 early Civics, one parked at right between a Beetle and a Mustang II, the other driving on the cross street. Also maybe a Volvo 544 behind the Mustang II.

    Did somebody say 60 Fords?

One thing that always struck me about the big '60 Fords is that the bat winged rear fenders were obviously patterned after those on '59 Chevys. Chevy had bat wings in '60 as well but by '61 they were dropped by both and the era of fins was suddenly over

I’ll claim the red Starliner and the 60 Thunderbird anytime! My Dad had a green Bird with the optional sun roof. Believe it was a $212 option! Ours was the only one I ever saw with the sun roof.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,673
I've never seen one w a sunroof either. My Dad once baby sat Ed Murrow's Squarebird for a week while he was in Europe.

Looks like behind the red Starliner is a now-rare 4 door HT (Galaxie "Town Victoria")

No idea what it is, but it’s kinda cute.
  • texasestexases Member Posts: 11,135
It used to be an older Porsche (356? I never keep those straight). After that body work I wonder what he called it.

It is/was a Speedster. Maybe it had prior rear end damage.
  • tmarttmart Member Posts: 2,403
Is that a 52/54 Ford on the left?

Sure looks like it. I'd guess 1952 Ranch Wagon.

Any thoughts on where the taillights came from on the Speedster?

Don't you know? They were handcrafted by elves in the Black Forest to be part of this exceedingly rare 1-of-1 prototype built by Porsche in the 1950s, easily worth 7 figures today. :D

Appears that the photo was taken before NYC's "Don't Block the Box" law came about. Currently a $115 fine.

I'm shocked that the majority of cars in that photo aren't yellow.

Yeah, I went on a school-sponsored tour in Manhattan in '73, looked out the window of the building we were in, remember just about 100% taxis everywhere.

    Can't see a sidemarker on the red T-Bird so I guess 67.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,673
The blue car is a Dodge Dart (late 60s), upscale wel-optioned version (don't recall what they called it-GTS?)

I think that could be a '69 Dart Custom Hardtop with an optional vinyl roof. The GTS was the performance model, with stripes around the trunk.

    A ‘68 Olds Cutlass wagon (non-Vista it seems) mid-pack.

    i don't see that but I do see a '65-6 Plymouth 2-dr sedan behind a Checker cab.
At first glance it looks like a wagon but it's a 2-dr sedan (not a coupe).

Love the Firebirds! 72 Formula with vinyl top. Guess whoever bought that thought the vinyl top would make it a sleeper. The T/A in Lucerne Blue is gorgeous!

goofy looking thing. I don't think I have ever sat in one of those. I seem to recall they are a problem for tall people.

I don't mind the Crossfire cabrio (bet I wouldn't be comfortable in one), but the coupe has a kind of weird rear quarter/rear end profile.

Berkeley B65. Barely a production car, just a few made (for good reason) and ugly as sin. Built by a Brit in a shed using a motorcycle engine and a plastic body. What could possibly go wrong?

You're exactly right AB. I should mention that other iterations of the Berkeley Sports had headlights faired into the fenders and looked a lot better for it.
Apparently a small number were exported to the USA in the early 1960s but I've nver seen one.

Mercedes Ponton behind a beetle and early Jeep. I can see it rusting from here.

Looks like an Andre mobile in the center lane is that a white Desoto?
