Other than the M-Benz, the parked cars appear to be; Left Green Datsun 120Y, Saab 96, white Ford Cortina mkIV. and a blue Ford Transit van ( I think). Right White Mini Mk II, grey Audi - I think it is an 80, but it might be a second generation 100, then an Austin Maxi, white Morris Marina (they were never sold in UK as Austins), I think the car beyond that is a Ford EscortMk2, red Escort 2, and another one beyond that. The car beyond the the small gap is the most interesting- it is a Riley 1.5 (I think it is a late one from early 60's) .
fangio first saw the same thing I did...the shiny wood dash, which suggested a Triumph Herald, with its old German radio finish....but the gearshift and dash has that French look. Being such a simple dash, I would say 4CV is a good guess. It's not a Dauphine, not a Peugeot I don't think. Maybe an old R4?
Actually, I think Fintail was right, that Audi is probably a 90 - I'd forgotten that mode Nope, you were right, IMCDB identifies as an Audi 100, and it doesn't have the Giugiaro,razor-edged 90 styling to my eyes.
Yes. Definitely a family resemblance (but not blatant retro-copies like the Mustang & Challenger which plagiarize every line & curve from the 60's models)
It's good to see the Italians make "Italian" cars again. :P
Could be I guess. I thought it was the dashboard that defined a Super, but you know, Alfa nomenclature can drive you crazy. But it's not a Super Ti, I can tell you THAT much---but yeah, it could be a Super....or not....
Gordini? Again, Gordini was a tuner so anybody could add a pair of lights. I'd need to see the engine compartment to tell you for sure.
That's Jay Leno and his awesome '56 Buick Roadmaster isn't? Great car, maybe the best looking Buick ever....well besides a '62 Electra 401 convertible.
I thought I knew cars pretty good ,but something is wrong with you guys- I mean that in a good way. This car totally baffles me it,it looks like a conglomeration of European wannabe American cars from the 60's.I am going to say OPEL only because the front end reminds me somewhat of the OPEL GT.
Yep it's a Lotus Elan Plus2/130 ca.1972-75, not to be confused with the original Elan two-seater from the 60's or the later FWD Elan from the 90s which used Isuzu components. The +2 is not related to either though it bears a slight resemblance to the smaller 60s car.
You've got to see this skit Jay Leno did back in the 1980s about this car. It was on "Television Parts" which was later released on video as "Dr Ducks Super Secret All Purpose Sauce"....if you can find it, watch it!

Supposed to introduce a new design philosophy to Lincoln.
IMO they could use one but that car looks suspiciously like a Lexus LS---.

It's actually the Lincoln MKS, not the MKZ.
It only goes to show how meaningless and stupid the new Lincoln nomenclature is. :P

Why would the roof be missing, though :confuse:
The car smells FRENCH to me.

After you pointed out the gear shift, I noticed the lack of a transmission tunnel. Perhaps it's something rear-engined like a Renault Caravelle.
I'd say you're being overly generous there with the LS comparison. Looks more like a gussied up Kia Optima to me!
And they say it "Em Kay ..."?
Boy will they have an identity crisis on their hands.

Indeed, the reason for my teaser headline is the resemblance of the ca. 1965 TZ2
to the 2008 Alfa 8C Competizione>
They should've called the '08 car the Alfa TZ3.

Looks too long for a Camaro (and too square) so I say 1067 Chevelle.

IMCDB sez theAlfa is a Giulia Super (whatever that means). wouldn't the extra pair of lights on the R8 indicate a Gordini?.
