Hmm, I had forgotten that Diamond T made small trucks. When I was a kid, there used to be an old junk Diamond T tractor rig, rusting away at the edge of a cornfield near my house. Not sure of the year, but it looked kinda like this
1970 Cadillac Eldorado? One thing I always hated about those early FWD Eldorados is that the bumpers seemed really fragile. The slightest bump seemed to distort them, and give the car kind of a pinched-in look up front. I guess a lot of cars with strongly peaked bumpers had that problem, though.
Yep BMW 700s had the motor in the rear as was common among Euro cars of the late 50s and early 60s. They preceded the VW notchback/squareback/fastbacks by several years.
The 1962 BMW 1500 was the first of the Neue Classe cars that were heavily influenced by the 1960 Chevy Corvair's styling. BMW wasted no time copying the Corvair's strong beltline and pointed nose, the 1500 debuted at Frankfurt in Sept. 1961>
I'm not that good with older cars, but it definitely looks Oldsmobile-ish. Something about it doesn't look quite right though, like maybe it's a prototype or something?
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say 1942 Olds. I'm just guessing that year because of the blackwall tires...weren't whitewalls really scarce once WWII started going?
Caddy crest? Well, parts were hard to come by after the war I suppose, and maybe they grabbed any old emblems out of the bin, but that's not what the link says. And it's a '46 ... but really a '42 that was put on ice until late 1945 when the factories stopped making war material (thus my "off-topic?" title).
Here's the spoiler link again (and I'm getting major brownie points from Bob for the links, lol).
Actually that spoiler link says what my guess was, a 1942 Olds. The '46-48 Olds had a grille with heavy bars that curved down at the outer edges, giving it a bit of a "sad mouth" look to it.
However, that 1942 Olds is technically not Pre World War II, since the United States was at war by that time. It's not Post WWII, but it's not Pre-, either. :P
I saw your pic and thought, "He's mistaken, that's a B-50" but I checked it out on Wikipedia and discovered that the XB-44 was in fact the prototype for the B-50.
I guess we could have some fun w "Mystery Plane Pics"
It's a 48. The big clue was the rocker panel. Some 48s had a chrome rocker panel strip and some did not. All of the 49s had the chrome rocker panel strip.

I'll guess BRO-HAMM only because I like saying that name.
Year? Reminds me of my dad's '77 Buick, so I'll go with 1977 as a tip of the hat to my pop.

I was going to guess '68 DeVille, as it reminded me of my stepfather's car...

It looks very similar to the VW notchback (although you can tell they share no parts).
This BMW was also obviously designed before they copied the "Corvair Look" for their 1600/2002. :P

Ah the famed Hoffmeister Kink. AFAIK the 1500 was the first BMW to have it, albeit in a very subdued form.

By no means was BMW the first to employ this styling feature.

I wouldn't think so, more like '49 or '50 judging by the size and shape of the tailfins.

Think about Rule #2:
2) No pre WWII cars (MY 1946 and newer only)
And think about the ones that straddled the war years. Then you can think whether it meets the flavor of Rule #2 or not....
