The late, unlamented Cadillac Cimarron, post-facelift ('84-85?)
  • hudsonthedoghudsonthedog Member Posts: 552
It is a Rapier...and, as I recall, it was a LHD model.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
A little off on the year, it's an' 88 Cadillac Cimarron

IIRC the composite lights came to the Cimarron for MY 1986.

The one in that junkyard is the end of the line, an 88 model (I kind of cheated, having read its source page earlier)

Yep, don't ask me why someone would go to the trouble of making a perfect computer model of such a car.

A Chevrolet Cimmaron in its natural environment. I wouldn't dare call this abomination a Cadillac! The beancounter scumbags who came up with this POS belong in hell next to Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, and Saddam Hussein with Jeffrey Dahmer as their personal chef!
  • lemkolemko Member Posts: 15,261
It's probably going to be in a police-themed video game set in the 1970s. These cars were extremely popular with cops.

...and that's why I should live a particularly evil life then commit suicide so I can go to hell, find Roger Smith, and kick his butt for eternity! Satan will have nothing on me as far as Mr. Smith is concerned!

That LeSabre/88/Bonneville next to it is also where it belongs.

No takers, so let's see how many questions we have to ask before we get it.

    Is it British?
  • stephen987stephen987 Member Posts: 1,994
    Looks Italian to me.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
    No it's not British. Here's another piece>

Yep, a 1957 Giulietta Veloce Spider, the quintessential Italian sports car. Surprisingly it took you guys over 24 hours to get that one. :P

    What a handsome car.

So timeless that you could be off by decades if you guessed.

That's a high complement to the designers.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
    Must be Buick.

I'll swag on the year - 1956? Roadmaster?

    I wasn't even born yet! ;)
  • urnewsurnews Member Posts: 668
It's a Buick Roadmaster (four portholes instead of three). Maybe 1951.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
Close, it's a 1949 Buick Roadmaster Riviera , Rivieras being among the firsat hardtop coupes.

Toyota Land Cruiser? I saw something similar on Barrett-Jackson a couple of weeks ago--it had a modified Land Cruiser cab with the bed from a "normal" Toyota truck ca. mid-'70s.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
    Yup, that's a '77 Land Cruiser FJ45

  • magnettemagnette Member Posts: 4,229
I think this is a Ford Comete - early 50's, or the Simca Comete that evolved from it.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
Yep, it's a '54 Ford Comete, body by Facel Vega.

The sports car is a Mazda Cosmo, I guess about 1967. I'm not sure what the truck is - a Toyota?
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,460
I think the truck is also a Mazda. Might even have "Rotary Power" on the tailgate.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
The Cosmo is a 1970 model as delivered in South Africa. The truck is a Mazda B1600, non-rotary AFAIK,
