    The F150 Lariat has an MSRP of $49,910 and a sale price of $42,011 after all discounts and rebates. I plan to put down $5500 towards the vehicle. With a residual of 55% and APR of 2% for plano, TX what should be my expected monthly lease price.

    Based on the calculators online I am getting a number in the low 300's but the dealer says it is in the mid 400's.

    I plan to pay Tax, title and documentation fee separate from the down payment. They do not factor into the monthly payment calculations.

    Please advice..

    If I subtract $5500 from the selling price, I get a payment of $305/mo

    A few thoughts:

    1. Don't put any down payment on a lease; if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money
    2. In fact, your only out of pocket should be the first payment and registration costs - add the sales tax and fees to the payment, as well. See (1) above as to why.
    3. You'll end up with a larger payment, but you'll have over $8K in your bank account

    Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost, and make sure you understand what was added to and subtracted from the selling price to get that number.

    Ford is getting crushed on lease numbers right now. 2018 Denali 1500 is $200 per month cheaper than an F-150 Lariat and the Denali has a higher sticker price.

    My 2015 lease is due in 10 days - Nov. 30 - and the salesman is playing " stupid" he doesn't know lease rate or residual. I'm no dummy, as I sold Ford Trucks for 25 years (now retired) I always lease a Supercab 4X4 - XLT 302A pkg. - 5.0 - I have confirmed total of a whopping $6750 in rebates, but I need to KNOW residual for a 24 month low miles (10,500) lease and the rate. It p----- me off these things aren't easily available (I know why) but they will be on the contract anyway! I will get invoice amount then go from there. ALSO, DOES anyone know what the dealer carry-over allowance is? I can nick 'em for that, too! Thanks for any response . . . 351Charlie - a FORDMAN for 44 years

    I get $444/mo with those prices and my lease numbers from above.

    Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost, and how they got to that number from the selling price. About $5000 difference, it looks like.
