a few years ago, I had a 2011 kia sportage ex fwd. it didnt go anywhere in the snow and the guys at work had to push me in to the parking lot every day. I traded it in after 5 months for that reason. It was my most favorite car. I am considering leasing a 2017 sportage sx awd but I have concerns that it will not drive well in the snow we get here in Ohio. Does anyone have one that can let me know how it does? TIA

With AWD it should be pretty good but there are other factors involved, such as the tires you're running and what exactly you, the driver, are asking the truck to do. If you want optimal traction in snow you should be running dedicated snow tires.

So, imo, ability in the snow is 50% car, 25% driver and 25% tires.

    I think I'd go for a 40/25/35 split. ;)

Stock tires and basically just to be able to drive down the road in the snow and pull in to a parking lot at work, which my ex could not do.

I'll guess that's due to crappy tires.

Leased a Subaru, once. AWD, but the all-season tires absolutely sucked in the snow. It's criminal to put tires like that on an AWD vehicle.
