Extended Warranty - Is it worth it?

This is my 5th Volvo. I loved 850 but it had too many repairs.
Now I have Volvo S80 - 2008 model. It has 98K miles. The book value is about $5k. Warranty for 3 years - covers ONLY engine, transmission, A/C and electrical. Warranty is $3,000 for three years with $250 deductible.
Is it worth buying? Warranty is from Endurance Warranty.
Any comments?

    $250 deductible for every service visit?

    I dunno, I don't think extended warranties are worth it, but there's a lot of gizmos that can break. Expensive gizmos.

    I'd want to check the fine print of the Endurance Warranty too. Could be that a lot of the expensive gizmos aren't covered.

    No way. Aside from the high price of the warranty, I'm sure it is filled with exclusions. IMO, this type of product is not a "warranty", it's "warranty theater", a feel good product.
