VW has an MSD program, but it's not widely used, and a dealer could refuse to use it on an in-demand model.

Good evening, could I get numbers for 2017 Golf R with manual transmission, 36 months / 15k miles per year in FL.

And for a little chuckle, I just stopped in the dealer 15 minutes before close, so didn't have chance to test drive (going back tomorrow), but the salesman told me that leases are all 0% interest! ;-)

I was wondering since the 2018 lineup is about to hit the dealerships by Fall, would it improve the residual and money factor on the Golf Ra ? I was curious because residuals are expected to be poor on the 2017s since the 2018 R's are about to come out later this year. Please correct me if I am wrong. My question arises because I'd rather wait for the 2018s if they are expected to have better lease deals.

I don't think the "R" will ever have great lease terms - we've always seen the MF between .00190 and .00220, though the high residuals offset that a bit.

Residuals rarely go up as the year progresses. If anything, you might see slightly better discounting on the outgoing 2017's.

I posted on a GTI Autobahn question, but an R still might work in a short lease...What is 48 mo residual? I'm assuming MF is same at 0.00214.
Trying to see if the illusive VW MSD program (if allowed) can lower that MF.  I'm guessing 0.00005 less per each monthly payment deposit?

Over 5% APR, wow, I get that the Residual helps offset that a bit but I don't think I'd ever be able to come to terms paying that high in interest.

Granted, I'm personally interested in the 2018 and numbers will be different, but I'm not holding my breath.
