Your dealer in AZ is trying to make a lot of money off you. Leases I have noticed suck from a negotation prespective in Arizona.. not sure if it's the Socal competition vs lack thereof in AZ. My in-laws are in Phoenix and I have looked at dealers there in the past and always saved more money in LA on cars.. even for them.

Worst case, why not do the deal with a CA dealer? Spend $50 on southwest one way and drive your new baby back.

That's a great deal man. Well done.

Except you might be flagged and detained by TSA for buying a one-way tix..haha.

Actually you could buy the car in CA and have it transported to you.

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about new specials for lexus rx350. I would like to purchase this month, but am hoping for something better than spring for March specials. I'm located in South Florida.

    Thanks!
  • simplesimon72simplesimon72 Member Posts: 2
I don't think the specials will be announced until Mon or Tues (4/5-4/6)

i just spoke to the dealer we bought from and they said that the RX deals are still going till April 6th even though it's technically announced that they end on the 31st of March

    hope this helps.

I am in South Florida and just leased an RX350. It did not have the navigation system, but did have the Premium and Comfort packages-19" wheels, backup camera. $700 out of pocket to cover 1st month and inceptions. $525/month (includes tax) for 42 months with 15,000 miles/year.
  • maximafanmaximafan Member Posts: 592
Hi, Susan2000. I live in the Tampa Bay area, and I thought that the comfort package was only available on navigation models.
The comfort package includes the rain-sensing wipers, HID headlights, and some other additions. So, the non-navi model that you got, does it have these options?
  • j13ntvj13ntv Member Posts: 8
Seems like a good deal susan. What was your MSRP and selling price? 700 drive off is pretty good, considering your first month is 525 and the bank is 700, plus title and fees you must have had the 700 rolled into the monthly?

    I've been quoted;

    MSRP 48295
    Selling Price- 43295
    Monthly 525
    36 month, 12k
Drive off about 3,000 (taxes upfront of about 1700, first month, bank fee of 700 and title/reg for about 160)

The sticker price on my vehicle is $44,109. The selling price built into my lease is $38,719. The dealer fee of $698.50 was rolled in somewhere.
  • susan2000susan2000 Member Posts: 10
I may have been mistaken about the comfort package. I thought that was the ventilated seats, but now as I look at my sticker I see that is actually part of the Premium pkg. Here is what is on my sticker...
    Backup monitor in rearview mirror
    19" alloy wheels
    Heated ventilated front seats
    Premium Package
    Tow prep pkg
Wood/Leather steering wheel and shift knob
    Cross Bars
    Cargo net
    cargo mat
    wheel locks

    Susan,

What dealership did you go? I'm contemplating whether I should just go lease the rx 350 by Monday or wait to see if a new special comes up by May.

    Thanks!

    Offered a 2010 450h 3yr lease with 12k miles/ year for $650 + tax + $1381 drive off (includes first month payment).
    Car is typically equiped FWD
    Premium/ Comfort/ Navigation/ 12 speaker premium audio/ 19inch alloys/ Bixenons/ Park Assist/ Wood and Leather Trimmed wheel and shift/ Accessory package.

    MSRP $51,917 (includes destination charge)
    Cap Cost: $47,762
    Money Factor 0.0022
    Residual: $32,213

From what I can tell, this looks to be about $1000 above invoice. Room for a little more negotiation?
Residual seems too high to me, but I don't mind as I usually don't buy cars at end of lease.

    Thoughts?
  • susan2000susan2000 Member Posts: 10
I got my car from JM Lexus in Coconut Creek. It is my understanding that the last two days of March were the best time to lease because the residuals go up after the end of the first quarter. The dealership was extremely busy that night and we were there for 3 hours processing the paperwork and waiting. From the posts on this website it looks as though the favorable lease prices will carry on through the first week in April. Good luck.

Carman or anybody else, anyone have the new rates effective today for an rx350 awd 36m 12k. They were .00220 and 60% residual, hopefully they got even better?? Thanks!

Just been quoted on a RX350 36 Month lease @ 575 PM with taxes and a
down payment of $ 4000. MSRP of 47884 with Nav package. and 10 K miles year
    Is this a good deal??
  • jen727bfjen727bf Member Posts: 12
Thanks for the info, Susan! I went to Pembroke Pines first (I had test drove the RX350 there back in February) but they would not work with me on price. So I walked out and went to JM in Coconut Creek. I was able to purchase the RX, although I wanted it with Nav and they didn't have the colors I wanted with Nav. I decided I barely use Nav and could live without it. Here are the details:

    MSRP $43,850
Sale $38,900 (including dealer prep fees)
$0 down; rolled $700 acquistion fee into lease
    36 mos/ 15k miles = $537 + tax
MF .00240 (they wouldn't give me the .00220)

It became difficult when it came down to signing the paperwork... they kept trying to add the dealer prep fees back in (even though they were already negotiated). So in essence, they were trying to trick me into paying it twice based on our agreement. I caught them... they said they would remove it and the business manager actually went to the back and brought me the paperwork.. guess what? the fee was still there!!! He first denied it, but I had an excel spreadsheet with the lease formula, and my numbers weren't adding up, so I knew something was up. When I went through each line by line, I figured out that they were double charging me, yet again! I was SOOOO ANGRY! They eventually took it off. Just a reminder to everyone.... make sure you pick apart that contract before you sign! As it is, they double charged me for a transfer tag, but its nominal.
  • mi7mi7 Member Posts: 31
way too expensive...and only 10k miles per year? check out the deal i got - similar equipped car and its only $2,500 down for $510/month (taxes included) for 12k miles per year.

I'm located in Arlington Heights, IL (Suburban Chicago). Interested in 2010 Lexus RX 350 Lease. 36-months/ 15K Miles per year/ AWD/ Premium Package w/ Navigation. I have received a few quotes which are high compared to the quotes I have seen on the boards.

Priced vehicle at 2 different local dealerships. MSRP is $48,500. Illinois requires taxes to be paid upfront so roughly $3,800. I received two quotes with taxes paid upfront, title and fees of $705.00 per month.

Can someone please provide me with the MF and Residual for this vehicle? Any help or feedback is greatly appreciated.

I am looking for the same car in chicago burbs. got a quote for 44K for similar features and sticker price. what was the sale price offered to you..

Spoke to the dealer and he claims it is impossible to get what you are suggesting.
I am not sure if they are not offering such deals in NY or NJ.

    Thanks.
  • vcsvcs Member Posts: 3
The list is 47844 and I am not sure what final cost he is basing the lease on.
I will try and get the info later today as I have committed at 575 and 4000 down.
Not sure if I did the right thing.

    Thanks

    Jen,
Congratulations and glad I could help provide information to help you get a good deal. It looks like the only difference is that I went for the 42 month and you went for the 36.
A similar thing happened to me when we got down to signing the paperwork. There was an extra $100 in fees on the computer screen listed as "cap-cost reduction", which we all know is just extra money in their pocket! We told the business manager and he readily took it off on the spot without any question. Makes me believe that it is something they try on everyone!
Good luck, I love the car!!

Here are 2 quotes that I received in Chicago, IL: MSRP on the vehicle that I'm interested is $48,500/ 36-Month/15-K miles per year:

    1. Selling Price: $43,957.00
2K Down (Taxes (upfront for Illinois 7.25%), titles and fees rolled into vehicle) 1st month payment and registration due at inception ($3,308 total)
    Lease Payment: $695.00 per month.

Dealer claims that this selling price is $200.00 above invoice.

    2. Selling Price: $44,257.00
2K down( taxes and fees rolled into vehicle) 1st month payment and registration due at inception.
    Lease Payment: $687.47 per month

Both stated that MF is .00220. Residual: 58%.

Are any of these deals GOOD?? Why so high on the lease payments?

You could probably still shave some off the Cap Cost.... I'm presuming the MF they offered you was .00220 (i think your post is missing a "0"?). That is great. My dealership wouldn't give me that MF. And residual is high, in light of what I read that the residual values dropped a little.

    Hope this helps!

Can you tell me the current MF and RES for a 48 month lease at 12K miles and at 15K miles?

Hi dkauf. According to the latest information that I have seen, if you were to lease a 2010 Lexus RX 350 FWD through Lexus Financial Services right now for 36 months with 10,000 miles per year, its buy rate lease money factor and residual value would be .00210 and 61%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top aka Tier 1+ credit tier.

Hi sally123. Lexus Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor for the 2010 RX 350 is .00210 for consumers who qualify for its top aka Tier 1+ credit tier. The .00220 factor that you were quoted is pretty close to that.

Let's take a look at this truck's selling price. The RX 350 that you described probably has a spread of around $5,300 between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price. That puts the $3,194 dealer discount that you were quoted on this truck at around $2,000 over dealer invoice. If I was in the market for an RX right now, I personally would want a bigger discount than that, at least another $1,000 off.

You may want to try comparison shopping with a couple more dealers to see if you can beat this deal.

Hi j13ntv. Lexus' April lease program isn't much different than its March program was. Its current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 RX 350 AWD with 12,000 miles per year are .00210 and 60%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top aka Tier 1+ credit tier.

Lexus Financial Services' April buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 RX 350 AWD without the entertainment system with 15,000 miles per year are .00210 and 58%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top aka Tier 1+ credit tier.

Hello billc112. The money factor that you were quoted for this truck looks about right, so let's take a look at the other important aspect of this deal...the selling price.

The 2010 Lexus RX 350 FWD that you are interested in probably has a spread of around $6,500 between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price. That puts the $4,155 discount that you were quoted at more than $2,500 over dealer invoice. I personally would want a bigger discount if I was in the market for this truck, at least another $1,500 off.

Here you go, Nom. Lexus Financial Services' April buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 48 month lease of a 2010 Lexus RX 350 FWD without the entertainment system with 15,000 miles per year are .00210 and 49%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top aka Tier 1+ credit tier.

The residual value for a lease with only 12,000 miles per year is 2% higher.

I have been quoted the following: 2010 RX 350 with NAV, Premium, Comfort, Parking Assist, 19" Alloys, Wood / Leather Steering Wheel, and Wheel locks with a sticker price of $47,350 for 36 months / 36,000 mi for $653/mo. I was told that I was getting the car for $750 over invoice of $42,678 with a Tier 1 money factor of 0.00275. There are $1,400 of fees included. I am not being charged anything out of pocket due to my turn in of a 2008 lease RX with about $1,000 in equity. Is this a good deal? My calculated lease payments are coming up about $50 under what the dealer is calculating. I live in Texas. Any help here? Thanks!
