This sounds like a great deal to me. Where are you located and who sent the email? Base price is good but you also have to consider interest rate and how much down they want.
I am in Maryland , the dealer is Preston Mazda. It is for a 07 model. I have been reading the posts here and was looking to get a Mitisbushi Outlander but the discounts available for his model makes it hard to pass up. I own a 05 6 sedan now .
hi that its an amazing deal...if you dont mind me asking what dealership gave you this deal? i am in the market for a CX-7 similiarly loaded and 250 is a great price for me.
what am I looking to pay for a car of this trim level. I do not want any options, I want the car as is with whatever is standard equiptment. I am in Queens / LI area. any help would be great.
:lemon: I went to ALL STAR MAZDA in Hempstead. Do not get your car from them, they try to rip you off. the promised a CX-7 AWD for 24,500 plus Tax, destination and registration. Well, when they could not deliver, they try to get me to go for for something more expensive, which i did not want. Bottom line, they told me they got the car and instead gave me something else. I ended the contract and I am now in the process of getting my money back. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST, THEY DO NOT DELIVER ON THEIR PROMISES!
I live in NYC/Queens. I contacted Hempstead Mazda for a CX-7 AWD Touring edition. I wanted the car as is only with standard equipment. Dealer agreed to get me either liquid platinum or Ice meatlic blue with in a week. Price given by dealereship originallly was $31K. I told the salesman to get real, as I wanted to get the car within 2 or 3 days. Finally agreed on $24,400+destination=$25K Signed paper work and left deposit $1K down. dealer offered 5.9% Finance on Mazda Credit, dealer later realized they could not sell the car I wanted so instead at the last minute, they give me a CX-7 GT AWD 2008 but they wanted to re-negotiate the price. After countless phone calls, I simply asked the dealership to give my deposit back as they were trying to give something different than what originally was agreed upon. Do not do business with HEMPSTEAD MAZDA - TRICKY SALES STAFF!!!!! :lemon: :lemon: :lemon:
On 6-Dec-07 I negotiated the following deal. Didn't have the color I wanted on the lot so their doing a search now. What do you think?
2008 cx-7 Grand Touring All-wheel drive Technology Package Compass/dim mirror with HomeLink Splash guards cargo net/cargo tray bumper guard White pearl with sand leather Hand painted pinstripe
$29,200 +TTL cash deal, no trade.
They said they had $1,500 cash back in that deal cause I didn't take the 0% financing offer. Somewhere else, I thought I saw that it was $2,000 cash back for that. Anyone know?
If this helps i just bought my CX-7 GT AWD for invoice 26188+tax,destination,title and registration. OTD price 29K. Oh did I forget to mention I order the icy-blue, awesome color! I did not get any options with car, I liked the car with all of the standard equiptment. the finance was 5.2 but it was from my credit union. Let me tell you, 3 days into getting used to my car and I really like it. Everywhere I go, I get the look of "wow, nice SUV is it an infinity?" for the price, i think the car is worth it. I will keep you all posted on how things go, but so far i am loving it. only one complaint, I wish I would get better mileage.
This past weekend I purchased the following vehicle at a dealer near Boston, MA
2008 CX-7 Grand Touring AWD Liquid Platinum Metallic Black Leather Moonroof/Bose package
I paid $26,400 (with the $1,500 incentive being factored in).
I ended up with a bad taste in my mouth because they sealed the deal with an additonal $500 rebate they promised using Mazda's recent college graduate program through the website, facebook.com. When I called the next day to process the rebate, Mazda customer service told me the incentive had expired quite a while ago and my dealership was mistaken. The dealership wouldn't make up the full $500, only coming down $100. Due to limited inventory of the CX-7 with these specific in the area, I ended up staying with the this dealer and completing a sale.
I spoke to another dealer who was willing to come down to around $25k (give or take) if I was willing to take the 2007 instead of the 2008.
I got my CX-7 GT loaded except the technology package. MSRP - $30,973, Bought for $25473. $5500 off sticker includes discount to $500 under invoice + dealer cash. When you buy a CX-7, there seems to be a lot of dealer cash incentives. Tell the dealership that you want all of the dealer cash along with $500 under invoice. The $500 under is tough to get, but you should be able to get a pretty good amount of $ in your pocket if you tell them that you want the dealer cash taken off of the price as well. The dealer cash is the $ they get from Mazda for each car that they sell at or beyond their goal. You can get this $ because most dealerships will sell you the car just to get a number towards their goal. I got a pretty sweet deal and I couldn't be happier, except for the door armrests vibrating loud where there is plastic on plastic construction by the window controls.
i bought a 2008, they try to get me to go for a 2007 but the difference in price was maybe $500 less, not worth my time or investment. I took the 2008 AWD-GT on metallic blue. very happy with my purchase, plus my finance was 5.29%. i think for the price you get a lot of car!
Quoted $24166 for '08 CX-7 Touring FWD crystal white. It was $25545 with the Bose option.
Looks like I should be able to do much better. I also have the S-plan which I have never used. Should I ask for the dealer cash in addition to the S-plan pricing?
not bad, I think they are holding back some cash, look at the invoice price for that car and do the math. You hould get money back if you finance thru Mazda credit. They offer me money back use Mazda credit. I also opted for the AWD option ($1,200) trust me it is worth it.
hi guys, i was actually thankful that i came across this forum cause it gave me pretty good idea about the prices and the car itself.......i just wanna get all your opinion on this........i have a 03 mitsu eclipse with about 71,000 miles and i still owe about $10,000 on it........anyways, i had it appraised and the most i can get is about $6000 so that would leave me $4000 under........i saw a used 07 cx7 sport fwd with 8900 miles on it selling for $20,500 at the mitsu dealer.....i was gonna trade my eclipse for the endeavor and then i saw that one and backed out the deal so i can research more of the car.........i really want the gt or even the touring but my mentality is that i don't wanna go for a brand new one and a higher trim cause i'm always thinking of the $4000 that will go on top of it........i figure i can go for THAT used one and try to bring it down to at least 18000, if possible.......i did the edmunds price quotes and sent it to a couple dealers for a sport fwd.....the best price i got is $21,300..........
so, is $21,300 a good price for a new one or you guys think i can still get it lower? or should i try to get that used one even lower? how much lower do you guys think i can get the used one.........
sorry if i confused people with this message, but i hope you guys can give me some useful tips and ideas.......thanks........
Does anyone know at this time (late december/early Jan), what the mazda rebates on left over 07 models are? It seems as though people are still getting 5-6k off loaded CX7s as was happening in sept/october, though only in some locations around the country.
How much would be taken off a more basic model, like a sport AWD?
within 150miles, there are around 10 different mazda dealers and they do have 07(florida) but the dealer I worked with, has almost no 07s.( I think they are good sellers).
Actually i was also looking for 07s with very good price but the other dealers tried to rip me off. some of them offer me over 25K for 07 models!!!
this dealer offer me that price at the very 1st time. I didn't know whether the price is reasonable or not. but after some researching I found out that it's very reasonable price. I don't like playing games and i want to give credit to those 'honest' people.
Is it SOP for dealers to charge you the labor cost to add options onto the car you want buy? For example I agree to buy a car that does not include certain options that I desire, for example, Sirius radio The dealer tells me the cost of the option and labor cost to install it. Is this a skam?
I've always considered everything negotiable. But you have the most leverage BEFORE you buy, because once you own the car, you WILL pay for labor for all the extras. Have them throw it in to close the deal.
I am in WI. The salesman I worked with before has left, so I worked with a new salesman. The salesman flat out denied there is any dealer cash. He only offered the 0% APR. The price he offered me was way above invoice. Every time he gave me a price, he told me the monthly payment, trying to confuse me.
He went to Edmunds.com, and was trying to show me the market price of the car. Funny thing was he could not go to he forums. I thought the dealer must had intentionally blocked it. As you know the price Edmunds suggested is $1000 over invoice and that was what he offered me.
I did not like the salesman at all, and did not even bother test driving the car.
That sales experience sounds terrible. $1000 over invoice is probably not bad but when it is compared to all the other prices we have been seeing on this forum for the past couple of months, its not good at all.
However 0% would save a lot of money if you intended to finance. Was this for an 07? The 1000 over invoice with 0%?
It was for 08. CX-7 must have been selling very well here, because when I checked their inventories a few months ago, all the 07 were gone at that time.
I did not haggle much, but I believe I can get down to at least the invoice price if I submit the offer to the manager, probably not $500 below invoice as others reported here. 0% APR is not bad at all compared to the $1500 cash back.
I guess it was probably the salesman spoiled my appetite. He felt like very foxy. The salesman cannot say anything on the final price anyway. He should have saved the price talk for later, seduced me to test drive the car, made me fall in love with it, and then brought the price to his manager. Being so firm on the price up front could only drive potential buyers away. Even Toyota and Honda have never done this to me.
I just went and test drove the CX7 here...There are a bunch of 07s on the lot, but it was getting late so I didnt really get a chance to talk to much pricing, I mainly wanted to test drive the car.
They had an 07 Touring (Don't know the options) for 24600. The vehicle I test drove was an 08 GT with no options besides floor mats and wheel locks. List was 28,873 , they gave a us a price of 25,700 for it with the 1500 cash back.
does anyone of a rental company such as enterprise or hertz that has the mazda cx-7 as part of their fleet, because much of the fleet is described as "ford explorer, or similar" for example. thanks so much for the help
bought my awd-2008 cx-7 Grand Touring for invoice $26188. no options only standard equiptment. NYC-Long Island Area back at the begining on the december 1, 2007.
if you have the s-plan, you might as well for the GT-AWD and go for 2008! trust me it will make a difference with gas prices. i purchased the 2008-AWD-GT and I am very happy with the price.
HI Dmele426 I'm on LI too,and going to start looking at same model; CX -7 grand touring.
Looking to lease end march, beg. April, depending on incentives.
Any specific dealers you recommend in suffolk/nassau? And are they upfront about their resid value and money factors or do i get that info from another source?
If you are willing to go upstate, you can get better deals.
Matthews Mazda near Binghamton, NY had a 08 GT AWD, no options but floor mats, MSRP 28 something. They offered it straight up after a test drive for ~25,600 without even negotiating. Mazda at the time was offering 1500 cash back also, dont know if thats still there.
Was offered a 2007 CX-7 Sport AWD Auto or $21,411 plus tax an license. Invoice minus $3,500 in rebates and dealer incentives. Car had base figuration......no additional cost options. Is this a good deal or not.
Sounds pretty decent, 3500 below invoice is about 4500 under MSRP. Thats good and for 21,400 thats a great car.
But, I don't know how well they sell around you, but people were posting stories of 6k MSRP off way back in october and the like on 07s. That car has probably been on the lot for many many months now and while there weren't any real changes for 08, its still a year old.
I think you might be able to do a little better...
Saturday I bought a 2008 Mazda CX-7, GT, FWD with Tech Package, Aero Package, Scuff Plates, Preferred Package, Remote Engine Start, Splash Guard, Compass with Auto Dim, All Weather Mat - MSRP - 32398 $. - Saint Louis MO
Invoice was 30295, I paid a price of 28295 $ [2000$ less then Invoice] with 5.9% APR.
why dont u offer a little bit lower price than what u got?
It seems like u got a good deal if u like the car then why dont u take it?
because I just purchased CX-7 Touring FWD with XM radio splash guard wheel lock
23K which is below 5.3K from MSRP I think I could make a better deal than this because 23K was my bottom line what if I make a bottom line below than 23K I think I would make it.. but Im pretty satisfied with my deal
(ah.. I wanna ask something. I purchased CX-7 Touring due to there's nothing GT FWD they just have AWD and here's more since I dont need Xm radio splash guard and wheel lock why I would purchase it? I mean I just deposit 250bucks and Im glad to waste 250bucks for getting GT FWD. Im wondering if I dont purchase what I got I mean I sign and get all kind of document. Im seriously wondering if i dont purchase that vechle, I could be in troble or something likea serious problem.)
I might have good deal than what I got with GT so..
With higher pricing gas, despite how I like the sporty looking, CX7 isn't really competitive to it's peers considering it's size and preminum 'recommended' gas hog. Seems dealer's stock is getting slow moving now, I will try to negociate a little lower price w/ a decent financing, hope it's gonna work out...
This is a GREAT deal. Must be an 07 but so what? Where are you gonna buy a car with 6k off the MSRP. The dealer probably isn't gonna budge on much else but it's worth a try. My wife got 5k off the sticker here in Cleveland (now offering 6k off) for her 07 Touring. I liked the car so much, I bought an 08 GT.
I was able to find a used (6k miles) 2008 CX-7, GT, AWD, with the Tech package for $25,600. It was used by the dealer's service manager and had never been registered, so I was able to get a new car APR (4.93%) even though it is really a used vehicle. I think I did pretty well here...?
I'm looking for a CX-7 Touring 2008 CUV in hawaii. Or 2007. I was reading a lot of these post and was shocked many are selling $5000 below MSRP. So did the dealer just offer that? How do you think the CX models are selling in Hawaii and if I could get similar deals. I'm also looking at CX-9's 2007 and 2008's.
What is the difference between the 08 CX7 Touring versus Grand Touring? I didn't see anything when I compared it on the Edmunds website. Can see that the Sport model left off power/heated/leather seats but can't tell the difference between the two Tourings.
From memory... Leather seats are different GT has a stripe down the middle. Automatic Climate control, fog lights, power passenger seat. I think those are the major things.
