Took a ride in the car with a service person, took out the TSB, showed him that my car fell within VIN range and they ordered the replacement longer surpentine belt.
Brought the car back a few days later and the noise was gone.
I traded my 06 civic almost a year ago as I was having so many problems, I was worried about my warranty running out and then experiencing problems.
I went back to tried and true subaru (had a 05) and the car has been perfect since day one (10K later).
I hope you get your issue solved, some dealerships are helpfull, some aren't.
was a TSB back in 2006, extending the warranty coverage to 100,000 kms or 5 years. Luckily, I had an extended warranty . Brought it in to the dealer who confirmed my mechanic's original diagnostic and the converter will be replaced under warranty. Obviously a manufacturer's defect as the dealer mechanic told me he had seen this problem many times.
