Should I drive this car to Vegas?

I recently bought a pre owned 2004 accord LX with 73,000 miles, runs very strong and good. I’m just not sure if I drive it to Vegas... will it breakdown? I’m driving from Los Angeles to Vegas...I’m scared it might leave me stranded.... or with some problems.... there’s no thing about the car that makes me think it would break down, it’s just cause it’s a 2004....

Should be fine. No reason why you can't take it to your local mechanic and get a quick inspection. Usually break-downs on the highway are due to simple things failing, like tires, serpentine belts, radiator hose leaks, coolant leaks. So if you want a little more peace of mind, it should take a mechanic more than 15 minutes to look everything over for you before you go.

About 10 years ago, I drove a 14 year old Subaru with 120,000 miles on it from Denver to LA. I had the pre-trip inspection work done as @Mr_Shiftright suggested and the car didn't miss a beat. Averaged 30MPG on the trip, too.

I wouldn't hesitate driving that Accord to New York and back! Vegas is nothing! Yeah, a quick lookover may not be a bad idea just for peace of mind.

I won't hesitate as well but I'll make few adjustments to make the trip a breeze. Anyway, how did your trip work out?
