You need to ask the dealer to provide you with the adjusted cap cost - the numbers on the right do not include the $595 acquisition fee set by the bank.

I know the Fit isn't discounted a lot... but, a $400 discount coupled with a $399 dealer fee = no discount.

Hi! I'm not sure if I walked away from a good deal or if I have room to get a better one. I'm looking at leasing a 2019 Honda Fit CVT Ex. My lease terms: 12K, 36 months, and 1,000 down. Zip code 64113. It's my first time leasing or really doing anything close to car ownership so I feel very out of my element.

The MSRP is $19,880 and I negotiated the selling price down to $18,800. With a few different things added and removed here and there (college incentive, bank acquisition fee), the new Net Cap Cost is $17,985 with a residual value of $11,928 (60%). KCMO tax is 8.6% and the money factor is 0.00077 with the Honda Summer Sale.

My current quote then is $218/month. Am I being unreasonable to try to negotiate for a lower price or did I already get as good a price as I can expect?

That looks about right for the Net CAP.

But, when I run the calculations with the Net CAP provided, I get a pre-tax payment of $191.28
$207.73 with 8.6% tax.

That is about $10/mo. less than their quote.

Funny - Yeah my wife was saying I am the family's car guy. Everyone looks to me to help with their purchases & especially leases - I am also helping with a few used car purchases as well.

Aug & Sep being clearance time in prep for new models ends up being a busy time for me. Helped my brother in in St. Louis with his RX350L my other BIL with his Civic in DC and got myself an Accord and the wife a Camry. And we are all on the 36 months cycle so in 3 years I will be back

I know the feeling! You're an unsung hero and I'm sure it takes the stress off your family.

I used to sell for a large dealership and 95% of people that came in for a lease had no clue what they were doing. I would say it's a high percentage of salesman that truly don't understand it either!
