2010 Focus sel Auto Reverse works fine when i first put into gear it goes fine. But when it should go into next gear it revs up if i let off of gas it shifts to next gear. i don't have any jerking or noise like i have read in other places. I have replaced shift solenoid D. transmission shop told me i need to replace trainny. I parked for a long time but needed a diff vehicle one day and decided i might as well drive till falls apart. That was a year ago and still driving so don't think actual trainny but maybe different solenoid or relay. When first started happening got the red wrench light after i drove for a while. But noticed yesterday drove for about an hour no wrench light came on.

AND YES checked fluid level

Have you extracted any codes? The red wrench means a problem (perhaps) with the Throttle Positioning Sensor.

My wife's 97 buick lesabre has to speed up to 70 80 kms b4 it shifts to speed limit speed it revs up to 4000rpm then shifts rather smoothly no jerks or noise I just put new plugs n wires and new air vac hoses so I'm stuck on why the shifting pattern changed

Did you disconnect the battery? Maybe the car is in a new learning curve--but this should rectify itself in a day or two at most.
