- 45,600 Cap Cost on a 2019 4x4 Limited Tundra
- .66 residual
- .00162 MF

I have calculated that number to death on multiple cars and have gotten 515 including a 9.5 percent sales tax on a 36/12k deal.

I have spoken to Managers and Directors at a few highly reputable dealerships (you guys are SoCal guys if I'm not mistaken, I'm talking about the big ones) and the dealer continuously insists that the correct monthly payment is 536.

Who is correct on this matter?

Are you factoring in the acquisition fee of $650? That is $18/mo, before interest and tax.

What is the MSRP?
The only difference could be the cap cost; confirm the exact number the dealer is using.

It was never mentioned to me that there was an acquisition fee (if there is). I frankly don't remember ever paying one with Lexus. I find it a bit odd in that if the acquisition fee is not included the total fees to walk out the door with a Toyota would be over 2k. I find that hard to believe.

As far as the cap cost, it was 100% confirmed with both dealerships.

2. Platinum/1794 4x4
3. Limited Crewmax 5.7 4x4

I know that with Lexus Fin Services (TFS in reality) a one pay gets you a 100 point reduction in MF with dealership capped at 70 pt mark up. Does the same apply for Toyota? I don't see as many one pay leases around, but haven't done "heavy digging" yet.

There is an acquisition fee on all leases.

It's just math. If there is a discrepancy, then either the numbers are not what you assume, or you made an arithmetic error.

1) .00285 MF and 75% residual
2) .00223 MF and 71%/73% residual for Plat/1794
3) .00223 MF and 72% residual

One pay reduction is .00100, but I think it's only good with Standard rates (.00285). So, you could use it on any of these models, but the rate will be .00185, in any case. Unless the dealer marks up the rate.

This is a current lease quote we are working on. When I plug these numbers in calculators and on my own, they don’t work out. All are $500 and under, that’s only putting $1000 down. They have $2800 down and the notes still $675. Note the $2228 in taxes, just doesn’t make since.

One-pay: .00285 - .00100 = .00175 MF

I don't know if TFS is offering Texas has tax credits, or not.
If they aren't offering them, then $17K or so wouldn't be out of range.
Of course, if they aren't offering tax credits, leasing for 24 months wouldn't make any sense.

A single pay lease is calculated just like a normal lease, but with a lower money factor.
Then, you add the payments + taxes + fees, etc.
