I was negotiating with a dealer today and these were the numbers I received.
2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 - 4x4, RST, Crew Cab (short box)

MSRP: $52,015

Discount: -$3,037
Incentives: -$750
Acq Fee: $650

Net Cap: $48,878

Residual: $33,290

36 Month - 15K miles. Zip: 64113

Payment without Taxes: $539/mo (1st month due at signing)

I tried negotiating with them more to get that cap cost down, but no luck. Am I wrong to think that $3750 off the MSRP (thats like 7%) is not that great of discount?

I see some people on these forums with huge discounts and incentives, which I understand are not available for all customers and zip codes - but still... this offer seams weak! What do you guys think?

I just want to make sure I'm being reasonable with my expectations.

Thanks for the input! This was the first dealer I worked with so I'll keep shopping around. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't being unrealistic. I was hoping to get Net Cap around 12-15% lower than MSRP. So for this example - like $45,000 Cap for $52K MSRP. Is that crazy? Or do you think it sounds reasonable? Again, really appreciate the help!

I don't know how low you can go... Let the dealer's give the quotes, and if you see one in the ballpark, then push hard on that one.

Hi all, is there a reason why the dealers MF they are giving me is about double the numbers given here? Can they lie about it? Or are they giving a different calculation of the same number? Whenever I lease a new truck it's always different than the numbers I get here and I call them out on it but they just tell me we'll this is what it is right from GM. My credit is tier 1 so I don't think that's the issue. Thanks

It's possible they are marking up the rate.

Be aware that a lot of GM Financial info starts out as APRs. Make sure you are getting money factors and not APRs.

For instance: .00119 MF = 2.86% APR (so, it looks almost double, but it means the same thing)
