From what I understand, it is only on the 39 month term. And, it includes a rebate that covers the first payment. I don't have details and don't know if you give up something else in return, but if 39 months works for you, the lease program is slightly better than 36 months, and you get that extra rebate.

Thank you for the prompt response. I just noticed that the local dealer is offering specials on 2018 S model FWDs. Are there any lease options left for 2018s? same 36/10 preference in 98004

The dealer just emailed me that today (3/31/19) is the last day of lease availability for 2018 models due to VW policy, and that the residual is 50% on a 36/10 with a money factor of .00252. Any thoughts on that?

Yes.. basically no lease support at all.

And, March programs end on Monday, not today.

Thank you for your help. You do know more than most salespersons. I was able, using your information, to convince the dealer that the program went thru April 1. Yesterday I purchased, using a lease, a 2018 Sportwagon SE FWD. The MSRP was $28,590. The purchase price was $22,000. The lease was 36/10K and I received 50% residual and MF of .00252 as you predicted above. I financed the acquisition fee of $675 so my payment before our egregious state tax was 323.55. At closing I paid 1st month, license and $150 dealer prep (plus I bought the magic windshield dust). Happy with my deal and the help I received here.
