If you think the actual dealer cost is less than that, then what good is that information for you?

If you think the actual dealer cost is less than that, then what good is that information for you?

Something is at play seeing as the market average for purchase price in the local area is $2.4k-$3k less than invoice depending on model. Let’s say a $1,200 manufacture kickback. Still losing money. I will chalk it up to there are just that many suckers buying over-priced add ons seeing as not a single vehicle doesn’t have them....or TrueCar just sucks.

TC isn't the consumers friend like it was when first introduced. It's now more of a lead generation tool for dealers.

Trust me, dealers are not losing money, overall. Perhaps on some new car transactions, but they have both used car sales as well as service revenue to keep the doors open.
