2019 CX-5 GT Reserve Lease Information Request

Hi all,

I'm in the process of negotiating a new lease on either a Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve AWD or the Signature trim. I want to price out both trim levels at 12,000 miles per year and at 15,000 miles per year with no money down except plates and registration. My zip code is 11249. I have a current CX-5 lease that qualifies for the $750 Mazda loyalty reward. Mazda has also agreed to take over my last two payments as part of the pull-ahead program, and will pay up to $500 towards my first month's payment.

The lowest quotes I have received are:

2019 CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve
36 month lease
12,000 miles per year = $463/month; $917 due at signing
15,000 miles per year = $484/month; $918 total due at signing
Cap cost $34,618
Residual $20,546
Money factor .0012

2019 CX-5 Signature
36 month lease
12,000 miles per year = $524/month; $918 due at signing
15,000 miles per year = $547/month; $964 total due at signing
Cap cost $36,805
Money factor .0012

The due at signing amounts consist of NYC sales tax (8.875%), 595 bank fee, 75 documentation fee, 10 inspection fee, 12.50 tire tax, and an estimate of 225 for new plates/registration. If you're transferring deduct another $150 from the due at signing amounts.

Does anyone know if any of the fees quoted due at signing are negotiable? I was also planning to roll the taxes into the monthly payments.

Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Liz

What are the MSRPs for each of these?

In NY, we recommed you pay the tax up front, along with the first payment and registration costs. Roll everything else into the payment.

Get the new cap costs with those parameters and we can check the dealer's math.

Thanks. The MSRP for the GT Reserve is $34,870 and the Signature is $37,212. I looked up the True Market Value for each and the Reserve was $34,443 and the Signature was $36,387.

Could you explain why you recommend paying the tax up front? That would be over $2000 due at signing, which I would prefer not to spend.

    Thanks again!

Your first post has some conflicting info.
The prices quoted show $9XX due at Signing, but then the verbiage below shows this:
The due at signing amounts consist of NYC sales tax (8.875%), 595 bank fee, 75 documentation fee, 10 inspection fee, 12.50 tire tax, and an estimate of 225 for new plates/registration. If you're transferring deduct another $150 from the due at signing amounts

So, which is it? $9XX due at signing, or those amounts below?

To answer your other question, if you roll in tax and government fees in NY, those amounts are taxed (tax on the tax, plus tax on the DMV fees)
