Are you a current or recent car shopper who bought an EV and then installed solar – or who had solar already, making the decision to go electric easier?
OR
Are you a recent EV buyer (past 3 months) as a result of manufacturer incentives and dealer discounts on these vehicles, including year-end deals? Were you convinced to buy an EV after finding a good end-of-year deal, or due to uncertainty around which EVs will no longer qualify for full/partial EV tax credits in 2024? no complaints and glad you are special but just trying to determine the validity of this number; was a bank or lease co., contacted in my area, is this a car company rate/residual for the month shared among the forum, etc. Besides not wanting to speak with them directly and their shenanigans shouldn't I be able to get this from my local dealer for price comparison purposes in use in my lease calculator....or just forget MF/Residual as any sort of negotiable factor and concentrate on negotiating the selling price until I get it where I can afford the monthly lease $$ and let the dealer tweak MF/Residual if they want or can.

The rates we quote are from Subaru Motors Finance (SMF)

Residuals aren't negotiable (but, you need them to calculate the lease payment). These are easily found/shared.

Money factors can be marked up for extra profit (which is why you need to know the number). These numbers are confidential info between the dealer and SMF.

What is the point of negotiating a fair selling price, only to have the dealer make it up on the back end? That's why you need to know all of the numbers.

You don't have to do it that way. Dealers would rather you didn't.

I'm now just looking at 2019 Legacy Limited and 2020 Legacy Sport. For 2019 2 dealers are going 2500 below invoice so I'm thinking they won't be very interested in arguing about MF, right? Thx so much.

    What is your ZIP code?

Oh, if the dealer can slip in a bump to the MF, they will certainly try.

Thanks for the replies. 2019 Limited with MSRP 33,000 selling for 27,600. MF converted to 1.5% so I think I was alright. Main problem is that residual for Legacy sedans is 48% which is low for a Subaru.

Because the 2020 Legacy has been released, the market values of the "old" Legacy took a hit.
