Thanks - and for some reason, I can’t make the numbers that my dealer gave me compute using any of the online lease calculators. Perhaps you can help:

2019 SEL Premium

MSRP: $50,449
Selling price: $44,949 (I know I can do better, but this is what the lease sheet was based on and I want to make sense of the numbers before negotiating.)
Fees (DMV, estimated, taxable in NY): $250
Dealer Doc Fee, capped in NY, also taxable: $75
Non-taxable fees: $22.50 (I think this is NYS tire fee.)
MF: 0 00171
Residual: $27747 (55%)
Cash Down: $3000 (drive off payment)
NY Tax: 8.375 % (of what, i couldn’t tell from the sheet, but the amount listed was $2138.95, which is 8.375% of $25,539...)

Monthly payments came to $626 on their sheet; I keep coming up with like $557 via the various online lease calculators. I know many of them don’t do NY Sales tax correctly but I can’t get anywhere near $626. I was told this was inclusive of everything - no additional fees.

Sorry if this seems dense - I usually purchase rather than lease cars and I want to make sense of these payments.

Can anyone help? Sorry if I’m being dense, but I can’t make the math work...

Using the prices provided, I get $602/mo

Ask the dealer to provide the following:

- Itemization of the $3000 drive off
- Adjusted cap cost used for their quote (should be roughly $45,700) - if so, then you need to find out what the $750 added to the selling price represents

Thanks. I took another pass at some numbers last night (here: https://bit.ly/34bHLxH ) and got to $596 by rolling tax/everything else into the payments. (Curious is this is essentially what you did to get to $602).

I added in a $675 acquisition fee, and got to $620. (Here: https://bit.ly/2Op09fH, although i had to hack it a bit to get what i wanted). That must be what they are doing despite having said no additional fees.

I will see what they say when I ask them to itemize in more detail.

I simply used the numbers you provided in your original post - you'll have to ask the dealer how they arrived at them.
