Hello all, got back from the dealer and trying to make heads or tails of whether I'm being offered a good deal or not.

Zip: 89084
2019 VW Tiguan SEL
39 mth/12k mi/yr
Sales tax: 8.25%
Lease price: $499/month inclusive of tax
Edmund's lease rater is saying I should be paying more around $413/month including tax

MSRP: $33785
Dealer Discount and Rebates: $4243.75 (Rebate is $1000)
Vehicle Price: $29541
Residual: $16216
Document fee/license: $530
Sales tax: $2561

Not sure if this there's really that much more wiggle room. Residual value seems horrible at about 48%. Thanks for the help!

    FWD or AWD? If FWD, the residual is 49%

    I think you're seeing numbers for a purchase mixed in with a lease - NV taxes the monthly payment, so the $2561 can be ignored.

    I like VW's, but I wouldn't pay $500/mo for a Tiguan.

    FWD, thank you! It did seem more high than I was expecting and just seemed very confusing. Paying $20,000 over the life of the lease seemed way too high.

    With the MSRP and sales price given, I get $365/mo, plus tax.

    Either the cap cost is higher than the selling price (likely) and/or the MF has been marked up (also possible).

    Ask the dealer for a copy of the lease worksheet.
