    Dealer listed 20 pathfinder SL awl online at $34800 ( cars.com)
    Gave me a 36/12 lease at $480 per month

    I’m in 11787 and a returning lease customer
    I have the MF and residual info , so that monthly price is about $40 higher per month than what I calculated
    Any thoughts on next steps ?
    How was my math ?? ( $442- only first month down and title , reg fees)
    I’m ny so tax is paid upfront and thrown in lease

    Thanks for all the help during this craziness

    What is the MSRP?

    My guess is that the on-line price is for purchase, and not valid for a lease.

    FYI, we recommend you pay the tax up front and not make it part of the lease payment - through some quirk in NY law, if you do that, you end up paying tax on the tax.

    The adjusted cap would have to be around $36,500 for $442/mo.

    Ask the dealer for a copy of their lease worksheet, so we can see all their numbers.

    Seems he give an adj cap cost at $15000
    With taxes (15k x.08625)=$1297.50
    Looking at 16297.50 divided by 36=$452.71
    Add in number to pay off old lease $29 =
    489.50 per month

    Upfront —$1500
    Bank fee , $350 for reg ( dmv will refund anything over actual ) plus first month

    Pathfinder you are looking at, a 50% residual is $20,500.00. Based on that number, your lease payment is calculated on over $15,000, but I will use that number as a base- you came up with $406 per month.
    $406x36= $14,616.00.
    $15,000/36 months = $416.00,
    with taxes in the payment, $15,000.00 x .08625=$1297.50
    So we are looking at $16,297.5. Divide that by 36 months = $452.71.
    Add in your number for paying off the old lease, $29. And you are at $481.71.
    $135 for overage- $3.75 or $485.46 x1% interest = $489.50

    So we can do this for $489.50 per month, and That is a payment you cannot beat! I had to fight hard to get them to agree to this payment!
    The out of pocket was also off. There is a bank fee and we collect $350 for registration, NYS DMV will send you a refund for anything over the actual cost. Out of pocket will be around $1500.

    I just got a 2020 pathfinder SL AWD with 15k Miles per year at a Nissan dealership in Long Island NY for zero down only 1st month and DMV due at signing for $425 a month which includes taxes rolled in. Even got them to throw in the trailor hitch for free. Once I showed them the deals I could get through a Broker they caved in and beat the price by a few dollars. It seems leasing brokers are the way of the future soon
