Looking to purchase 2020bmwsdrive40i. Msrp $71295; selling price $65639. They are under pressure to close deal by end of month and I want to be out the door max $65k.
I was thinking of paying cash but lease seems better...$37k over 3 years with 15kmiles/year. If I can negotiate buy out of $27k, should be a great deal since I can resell at least $32k.

What other factors outside of price should I negotiate for bmw sdrive40i? Thoughts on what I may be missing with my analysis?

Why do you think the market value will be $5K higher than the residual?

.00137 MF and 52% residual, meaning the buyout value will be $37K - and, that number is not negotiable.

If you plan to keep the car longer than 3 years, you are better off buying.

If you lease, your assumptions are way off; there is a $925 acquisition fee up front, and a several hundred dollar disposition fee when you turn the car in.

BMW doesn't negotiate buyouts. The residual on that unit will be $38,500. You'll have to pay that to buy it out. If you want to own it, just buy it.

Yes, if you plan to keep the car longer than the lease term, just buy it upfront.
