Somewhat random question here. I leased a 2021 Yukon Denali (leased for $83k) and was $1194/mo. First payment down and ~$3k sales tax on both. Fast forward to today and leasing another one ($80k) yet the payment is approximately $200/mo more and at 12k miles vs. 15k with the previous one. What causes that dramatic of a difference in leases on the identical model year/make/trim? Another data point - looking at an X5 m50i as well. Priced at $93k, 36 mos and 12k miles is near $1200. Is the wild auto market partially to blame?

Do you have the details of both the original deal and the new quote?

Two things that are likely different:
1. MF is likely higher
2. Not as much of a discount

IOW, yes, the wild market is the probable cause of the payment difference.

Hello group- I was just quoted the 2 attached pics of a Yukon slt with nav and rear entertainment on a 39 and 48mo lease with a residual of 57% (39mo) and 51% for the 48mo with a MF of 0.00248. This seems to be higher than the MF and residuals previously and I have credit above 720. Does this seem off to anyone else but me? I really appreciate the time and insight, TIA!!

The base MF for 36 months is .00148. I don't think it's a coincidence that their quote is exactly .00100 higher. That's a dealer markup, and equivalent to 2.4% APR increase. It has nothing to do with your credit quality.

AFAIK, AZ taxes the monthly payment (as shown). Not sure what "lieu tax" is for, if they are taxing the monthly payment. $1000 is a large amount, and I'd want to know.

Also, your quote doesn't specify selling price or adjusted CAP cost, so there is no telling what they've added to the CAP cost that isn't being paid for, upfront. (lease acquisition fee?)
