is leasing a 2020 forester in June a good idea?

edited June 2020 in Subaru
i had agreed to lease a new 2020 forester limited at the end of March and left a $500 refundable deposit. Due to the virus, the dealer closed before the March 31 scheduled pickup date. The dealer is now calling me to sign papers and pickup the car.
Should i be able to renegotiate a better deal since we are now into June? Would I be better off waiting and leasing a 2021?
Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated.
thanks
Rob

You didn't sign any paperwork when you left the deposit?

If not, you should be able to negotiate a new price.

However, you will also have to use the June lease programs, which may be better (or worse) than the one in March.

i did sign dealer's "new vehicle purchase agreement" but no lease papers.
does that obligate me? from what i remember, i was told the 500 deposit was refundable.
    Deal was:
    2020 limited forester purchase price = 33128
down paument = 2580 (includes subaru 500 loyalty incentive)
    monthly payment = 379 for 3yrs, 10K/yr

I doubt the dealer will renegotiate the deal you agreed to.

    Options:

    1) Sign the deal and accept delivery

    2) Tell them you are no longer interested and please refund your deposit.

    3) Attempt to re-open negotiations (I don't think that will be well received, but if you are willing to walk away, it can't hurt)

I think it's a horrible sale price, as I was offered $32,100 for the Limited+Nav,
